Free

Near the edge of a cliff a lone figure stood

The wind that was blowing, caused long hair to wave infront of his face

Turning, his eyes brightened as they fell upon

a silent figure resting against a tree

The war had destroyed many things,

Nearly destroying the one he cared for most

His lover believed himself usless, unfit for the living world

The pain was to much, the cost of peace to high

Thinking to rid the world of the unwanted,

he'd watched as his life force slowly left his weakening body

Yet at the brink of death, the silent soldier

Found solace in another as lost and alone as himself

It seemed like an eternaty ago,

That they had both recovered,

Finding love and acceptance in each others life

Yet here they were, Free of the burden of the world

Walking over, he brushed his fingers though dark wind swept hair

Cobalt blue eyes opened and a smile brightened the dark blue orbs.

Forever free to live life with his savour and love.
