A Walk in the Woods
Come with me and I'll show you mysteries yet to be solved.
Take my hand as we make our first jump into the unknown.
A place where trees show no emotion and no flower goes unlooked.
Spiders crawl about and weave their lives away, some never finish.
The wind picks up and carries you across the forest.
As you land unharmed, a flock of birds head your way.
Not right at you, but overhead.
Something is coming, I wonder what?
And yet…all is silent, the leaves rustle, yet that is all.
As we near the edge of the forest you let go of my hand.
I don't blame you for wanting to stay.
For things will only get better for you.
Though hear me out, for when I leave.
This world will never vanish, and you will become one with it.
Time is almost up, have you made a decision?
My hand is starting to fade, if you do not touch I wish you well.
Thank you…for walking with me in the woods.
