"Super Nova"
A Scooby and Nova Fanfic

Plot: Scooby and Nova are out on a date and a slime monster attacks them. While they are running away, it starts to storm and they get slimed/ hit by lighting at the same time. Both get super powers and now they must use their powers to solve the mystery of the slime monster.
"Look at that shooting star" Nova sighed dreamily. It had been a perfect evening, Nova reflected. She and Scooby had enjoyed a romantic and lovely dinner at the Bloody Stake, and now were sitting atop the hill, looking out over Crystal Cove. "Make a wish, Scooby." As the shooting star shot pass them, Scooby wished for more beautiful nights with Nova such as this one. "Well, what did you wish for?" Nova asked Scooby. Scooby just gave Nova a mysterious smile and a wink. In that moment, Nova could feel her heart melting at the expression on Scooby's face and the connection that she felt at that moment to him. Just then, it started to rain and thunder and lightning streaked across the sky. "I don't remember the weatherman saying anything about a storm." Nova said, perplexed at the sudden change in weather. "Well, ris is Crystal Cove" Scooby said. "Anything can happen here." More lightning streaked across the sky. "What was that?" Nova asked as she noticed a shadow in the trees. "What was what?" Scooby said, looking all around confused and trying to figure out what Nova had seen. "I thought I saw something in the trees that looked like an odd shaped shadow and when the lighting hit, it illuminated the trees and it was gone." As Scooby looked over towards the trees where Nova was looking, he thought he heard something rustling. "Come on, let's go home." Scooby said, suddenly frightened. However, at that moment both of them heard a distinctive "RRRRRRRRRRR" and the leaves rustled and parted as a hideous green slime monster emergered from the shadows of the trees. "Ruh Roh" Scooby said. "Run!" Scooby and Nova both started to dash down the hill as the sky opened and rain poured down on them. "I can't see a mile ahead of me!" Nova shouted to Scooby as the rain fell down in sheets and obscured their vision. Suddenly, Nova slipped on the wet grass and tumbled down the rest of the hill landing in a giant mud puddle that was as thick as molasses. "Nova!" Scooby shouted. As Scooby ran down the rest of the hill, he also slipped and crashed right into Nova. "Ruh Roh" Scooby said as he realized they were both stuck in the mud. As the monster drew closer, Scooby and Nova worked desperately to free themselves from the muck that they were stuck in, but it was too late. The slime monster shot slime at them just as a bolt of lightning shot from the sky and both the slime and the lighting hit them at the exact same time. For a moment, both Scooby and Nova glowed a bright green color. "What just happened?" Nova asked Scooby, very confused as to what had just happened. "I have no idea, but I do know one thing- we have a mystery to solve!" Scooby said. "Come on, let's go to my place and clean up. Then, in the morning we'll look for clues." Ok." Nova said. As she and Scooby set off for home, she felt different, but she couldn't quite put her paw on what had changed. "I'm probably just tired" she told herself, but she knew it wasn't that. She knew something was up and she had a feeling that she and Scooby would find out in the morning what was up. She had no idea just how right she was.
