.:OOC: This is Kiba's last thoughts before death took him. Never tried a tragedy before. Thought I'd give it a shot. Heh. Not sure how good it will be, but hey, I tried. One-shot:.
'Paradise. The one place we searched and searched for but never found together... as a pack. One by one... they died. I have nothing to protect. I have nothing to live for. Paradise now has no worth to me.'
These thoughts ran through the white wolf's head as he lay injured in the snow, golden occuli staring attentively yet painfully at the flower lieing limp on the ground. Cheza was no longer with him, and neither the others. Even the humans have been killed off. One by one, each of them died, even though they fought and fought so intensely. No matter what wounds were inflicted on them, no matter what damage had been done, they kept treking ever forward, but how come it had to end? His eyes winced in pain as though breathing itself brought great pain. The snow began covering his limp body effortlessly as it fell harshly from the skies. He did nothing about it. There was nothing for him to do.
'I have always lived a lonely life... but I just can't be in Paradise. What comfort and happiness will it bring if I have no one to share it with. But... Heaven also isn't enough.'
Golden orbs slowly began to shut as exhaustion over took him. His muscles twitched lightly in the winds, and his ivory pelted shifted ever so slightly. The blood weighed most of it down. The injuries causing more of that crimsom liquid to pour over it. Despite the emptiness of the world around and the loneliness of his heart, he fought to stay alive, to avoid death's hands from firmly gripping onto his soul and pulling him away from the devastated world. Alas, heaven wasn't acceptable at the moment. Paradise was what he was searching for and Paradise was what he was going to find. Like Hige had said, he will see them in Paradise, every single one of them. Toboe, Tsume, Hige, Blue, Cheza, everyone that followed alongside him during the journey that had to so abruptly come to an end.
'I /will/ find it. I will.."
Darkness swept through his body, filling the very blood that flowed through his veins. Flowers had begun to bloom around his body and he felt the ice give way. The icy water below hit his body, waking him from his short slumber. Calm eyes became serious. In remeberance, he heard his friend's voices ring through his ears as visions of them flashed before his eyes.
''Have you given up your pride!''
"I just want to see Paradise."
"Do we have to fight?"
"Paradise will be found."
"We'll keep moving forward even if hell's what we're headed towards."
"Kiba, can you really forgive me?"
"I'll see you next time.. in Paradise."
Slowly giving in, Kiba took one last look at the moon from that point of view. Next time he would see it, he wouldn't be of this earth. No... he would be with his friends in Paradise.
