Welcome to my brand new series! I hope you enjoy this saga. Yes, this and many other books are in a series, and this is the first book! Please enjoy! Note: this isn't a "crossover" (SHOCKER! :O), but there are ideas from many outside Sonic shows and movies that are transfer over. Also, this takes place in the "Sonic Boom" series, since that was the easiest to work with! That will be there to explain ahead of time. Check out my other works!:

The Introduction...

My name is Tyler, Tyler O'Brien, and my life is a complete wreck… Long ago, when I was younger, my sister and I lived happily with our parents. We had everything! We were happy! Nothing was wrong, they always supported us and helped us when we needed it the most!

But then, there was that day… One day, my father came home from his work. He worked as a computer system manager, and a remarkable one might I add, with a paper. My mother, who worked as a middle school teacher, looked at it and just cried. I asked what was wrong, and found out my dad was fired unjustly, with no hope of getting it back. For the next few years, we lived on a poor income and lost almost everything that we have. Our games, toys, even our pets we had; but the worst of it was the bonds between us and our parents. He spent all our money we had saved and became an alcoholic. He became the most hateful and abusive parent. Later, my mother joined him, and became a torturous duo. So much so that we attempted to call others and even the AUTHORITIES… but nobody came… nobody ever helped us… no one at all. We lived years under their ways for so long, we lost our feelings of hope. Eventually, my sister and I made the decision to escape from their clutches, but every time we try, we were beaten. We tried multiple times, each unsuccessful and each punishment worse than the last. Until one day, we broke free; but as always, they followed us and managed to snatch us back, but this time was different. My sister had managed to take a kitchen knife with us as we escaped. When they captured us, she took the knife she had concealed earlier and stabbed my father in the arm. He roared as he dropped her and she ran away from us, from me…

"COME BACK! DON'T LEAVE ME ALL ALONE!" I remember screaming at her to come back, but she didn't turn back… now I live alone with abusive parents… still standing, yet diminished.

To the present day…

Today, I still live, or still suffer by them, at their house. They somehow managed to scrape out money to buy a hunting dog. They allow me to go outside the house, but placed an electrical fence around the yard. It's a small yard, but they gave me so little room, it feels like hell. I have to wear a collar like I'm some sort of dog, and it hurts… I'm allowed on the roof, but not for long, only like 30 minutes.

It was about 7:30 P.M, I was lying on the roof, staring at the stars above. My ribs, bones, muscles, everything hurts from my recent abuse, but I didn't care as I stared at the endless beauty above. Everything looked so peaceful, everytime I stare into that abyss, I smile…. My torn blue jeans and black T-shirt kept me slightly warm outside, as I leaned back on the roof.

"TYLER! FOOD, NOW!" my mother's voice rang from below me. I jumped a little in surprise as her voice always scares me. I look down to see her holding a pot with something brown steaming out of it. I cringed a little, it was disgusting looking, burnt, and leaked a horrible smell.

"U-uumm, can I stay up here for 5 more minutes? I-It l-looks like it needs to c-cool down anyway," I try to speak.

She glanced down at the steaming, burnt food before audibly growling, "FINE, 5 MINUTES, THEN THAT'S IT!" She walked back in and slammed the door. I sighed, 'huh, she took that better than I expected she would'. I looked up and sighed again as I gazed one last time at the beauty above.

"Well, better go back inside the house, otherwise I might not be able to eat dinner, even though it looks disgusting as hell," I mutter as I stood up. My favorite black jacket began to rousel at something as I heard a sound behind me, and out of my peripheral vision, something glowed from behind me. I turned around to see a vortex behind me on the roof. It was mesmerizing, but that was not the only thing. It was sucking everything inside of it! I held on to the chimney as I cried out for help, but the vortex pulled me in after a few moments of futile struggling.

Third Person shift change…

The vortex pulled Tyler in as he cried for help. Soon, his grip slipped from the pole and it sucked him in the swirling center. It suddenly closed, never to reveal the teenager ever again.

On Seaside Island [PM me if I'm wrong, I hate these Island names]…

Sonic smiled as he ran as fast as he could. The wind in his face, the smell of the flowers, everything to make someone feel so alive! He stopped on a cliffside, and stared into the ocean.

'Oh, man! This view is amazing! If only Tails were able to see this! Hey, I wonder what he's doing right now? Let's go check!' Sonic smiled his prideful smile as he ran back to his and Tails' shack. He skidded to a halt right in front of his little buddy's workshop. He knocked on the door and heard a faint, "Come in!" from the other side. Sonic opened the door to see Tails hard at work on another of his inventions. Tails smiled as Sonic walked up next to him and gave a soft nuggie.

"SONIC, STOP!" Tails laughed as he spoke.

"HAH! Hey, bro," Sonic took notice of the object in his brother's hand, "what's that your working on?"

Tails smiled, "I'm glad you asked! It's a teleportation device! It's still in its beta stages, though. Wanna see how it works out?"

Sonic's face lit up, "Yeah!"

"Alright, but we should stand back!" Tails spoke. Sonic nodded and they both took a few steps backwards. Tails flipped a few switches, the looked at Sonic, "ready?"

"As I will ever be, fire it up!" Sonic bounced in excitement.

"Okay, get ready!" Tails yelled as he pressed a glowing blue button. Sparks flew from the machine as it exploded in his hands. Tails recoiled away from it as the pain seeped into his hands.

"Tails! You okay, bud?" Sonic darted to help his brother out.

"Yeah, I'm good," Tails looked down at the broken remote, "but not my spirit".

"Ah, cheer up, bud! This happens all the time!" Sonic thought for a moment to divert the conversation. An idea struck him as he smiled, "wanna head to Meh Burger? I heard they have a decent deal today!" They both walked out of the workshop, with Sonic's hand on Tails' shoulder.

"Meh," Tails shrugged.

"That's my little bro!" They laughed as the walked away from the workshop, but unknowingly to them. The remote vibrated and a soft green light emanated for a moment before exploding. A radar on the remote pointed to the direction of a nearby beach, where a vortex had manifested...

Beyond the Boundaries of Time and Space…

Within a room, a man sat in a chair as he stared at multiple screens in his face. He wore golden armor similar to that of a king, yet more ceremonial. He was a chubby, yet not fat man, with a striking beard. He gazed in front of him as the holographic screens projected in front of him. A window in front showed many glowing white streams that converge onto a single, glowing point. They vibrantly shaped and morphed into thousands upon millions of little streams. There was something about working while watching this that made him feel happy about it. Suddenly, A door opened from behind him, as footsteps made their presence known loudly throughout the room, echoing everywhere.

"Grand Master!" A voice rang and echoed behind him. He turned to see a human with a war like stance. They had armor similar to him, but less detailed and silver.

He smiled, "Ah! Arstrok!"

"It is done," Arstrok bowed respectfully.

The Grand Master's became slightly more serious, but still had his happy attitude, "Oh! So it has begun!"

"Yes, I have him where you wanted him. Are you sure he's the one?" Arstrok questioned as he raised an eyebrow.

"Of course! He is essential for our cause! We need him to help keep peace!" The Grand Master replied. The door opened once again, as another person walked

into the hall.

"Grand Master Mirek!" Another voice echoed. They both turned to see a humanoid wolf, wearing the same kind of armor as Arstrok.

"Ah, Vortex! Glad you came to join us!" The Grand Master, Mirek, spoke to the wolf.

"You asked for me, sir?" The wolf bowed.

"Yes, I have a job for you: go to timeline Zero Beta Five," Mirek spoke.

"Any details that I should know about?" Vortex asked.

"Apparently a week ago, an anomaly surfaced where these two legendary dragons disappeared from sight, then they just now reappeared here," Mirek explained as a data screen appeared in front of Vortex's face.

He read it for a moment then spoke, "What do you want me to do?"

"Learn everything important, find and secure the targets, then return them to their proper timelines. Someone contacted us for our help. Meet up with him and fix the anomaly, understand?" Arstrok returned.

Vortex smirked and waved his hand, "relax, I'll make sure everything's fixed. Don't worry about me! I'll be fine!" We walked out the hall and exited the room.

Mirek turned to face his officer, "Now, Arstrok! Initiate Project: SUNSET."
