3rd POV:

Kimberly Sawyer knew that there is something up with her boyfriend, Steve Harrington.

The dumbest decision that she was about to make was going up to her boyfriend's house to confront him. She was all on her own because her older brother, Clay, has to work twice as much now, ever since their parents died, and the fact that her younger twin siblings, Cole and Kayla, are over at the Wheelers' house.

Kim knocks on the door of the Harrington house three times. She waited for a moment, and there was no one answering the door. She then used the house key that Steve has trusted her with to unlock the door.

After she silently closed the door to the house. She heard weird noises coming upstairs. She quietly made her way up the stairs, and then noticed that the weird noises were coming from Steve's bedroom.

What she saw next couldn't be erased from her mind: it was her boyfriend, Steve Harrington, and her "supposed" best friend, Nancy Wheeler, making out.

That was why Steve was blowing her off recently and why Nancy has that guilty look on her face every time she sees Kim.

She lets out a heart-rending gasp and her mind was in a frenzy on getting the hell out of Steve's house that she didn't notice Steve and Nancy chasing after her, trying to explain what she just saw, but it was useless.

She already got into her car, and sped home. On her way home, tears were falling down her face, as she was feeling stupid on how she didn't see the signs.

Kim finally got back home and she wiped away the tears that were on her face. Within the distance, she notices a figure standing in the woods that her house is located at. The figure's height is so tall, that she knows that it wasn't a human, so she rushed towards her house, unlocks the door and after coming into the house, she shuts it, and locks it, immediately.

After locking the door, she ran towards her room and locked the door.

At that moment, she thought it would be safe.

Thought being the key word.

She sees a shadow within the moonlight shining into her room, and when she turned around to see the face open up like a flower to reveal many sharp teeth. Kim was paralyzed in fear that there wasn't anything she could do.

All of the lights within the Sawyer household were flickering repeatedly before they stopped flickering and Kimberly disappeared from her room.

Days had passed, and Kim Sawyer was declared missing. A few days later after Kim went missing, Will Byers has gone missing as well, and shortly after that, Barb Holland went missing.

The Sawyer family were now more closed off than usual. Cole and Kayla are now hiding the fact that they met a girl with telekinetic powers that know where Will and Kim are, and Clay is going to the extreme measures of working over 24 hours to find Will, Kim, and, most recently, Barb.

While searching for clues about Barb's disappearance, the unexpected duo of Nancy Wheeler and Jonathan Byers are in the woods. After crossing paths with a dying deer, the deer was suddenly dragged away, causing them to follow the trail of notices a passageway within a tree, and she crawls through the passageway.

After crawling through the passageway, Nancy realizes that it is the woods, but it is much darker, colder, and there is an omniscient fog with ash-like spores drifting through the air. With one turn around, she notices a creature feasting on a deer. Stepping back and snapping on a twig, that got the creature's attention and had sent Nancy running, calling out for Jonathan.

When stopping for a moment to catch her breath, she sees the creature and runs the other way. While in hiding, she hears another voice.

"Nancy?!" she heard. She turned around and she saw Kim. Tears were present and she is holding onto the left side of her waist, which is coated in blood. Even though Kim resents Nancy, it was a life-or-death situation.

"Kim?" she asked as she is now in Nancy's arms. "I tried to save them. I tried." she cried out. Nancy puts Kim's arm around her shoulders and and her arm going around Kim's waist, Kim wincing in pain as Nancy did that.

Nancy spots another passageway in the tree, and with that, Kim knew what Nancy intends on doing. She crawled through the passageway, where, Jonathan helped Nancy get out, causing Nancy to help Kim get through the passageway.

"Kim?" Jonathan breathed out. "I tried." she kept on repeating through tears. "We need to help her." Nancy said as both her and Jonathan helped Kim get to Jonathan's car, where she is lying in the back of Jonathan's car.

Everyone knew that with after Kim reappeared, she is not gonna be the same person that she once was.
