Well, You Are the Only Exception.
He had tried. Tried so hard not to. Tried to cover up his feelings. But now he had to admit it to himself.
He, the last of the Time Lords, was in love.
With his best friend.
With whom he traveled through time and space with.
Everyday.
He had made rules, when he had his first couple of companions, and stuck to them.
Until now.
He had promised himself that he would never break the rules. Never do anything that could potentially ruin his friendship with his companion.
But this had gone much, much further than just friendship.
This was adoration.
This was longing.
This was LOVE.
And that is why the Doctor would never forgive himself. Because he had broken his number one rule.
He had fallen for his companion.
He had fallen for Rose Tyler.
