Gazing
As I walked to the window and gazed up at the night,
I watched the neighbors turn out their lights.
Memories of you would flood my mind.
I could feel your pony tail swish from side to side as you said words in my ears that were so kind.
Your eyes are moonlight blue,
my heart would melt at your sight that was so appealing I wouldn't have a clue.
You wouldn't mind my blindness and I would drown in your memories.
Memories that would be precious from your sympathies.
I would get startled when I heard a rattle at the door.
I'd gasp as I open it, and let my arms fall into yours.
