Joey Wheeler stood on the top of a sixteen floor building. The rain fell heavily on his tuxedo and his dirty blonde hair. He stepped on the edge and looked down into the busy street below him. His tears mixed into the falling rain.
"I can't explain what it feels like, these tears of mine"
He couldn't believe that he had let Mai Valentine, the love of this life, merry Valen. He had just sat there and watched the lovely Mai walk down the aisle in her white wedding dress.
He could see the smiling face underneath that lace veil. Maybe that was why he didn't interfere. She was happy. When she had walked past him on the way to the alter, he was sure that she had looked at him out of the corner of her eye. Bu he knew realized he had been imagining it.
He didn't want to hold her in the past. Sohe had walked out of the church, just as it began raining. He had walked to the very spot in which he now stood. This was where he and Mai had decided to see other people. He now wished that day had never happened between them.
He pulled a picture out of his pocket. It was, of course, a picture of Mai. He kissed the woman in the photo and placed it into the breast pocket of his tuxedo, close to his heart. He gave one last look at the rainy sky and jumped.
He thought of Mai, his family, and his friends. He knew he couldn't bear living without having her in his arms. He opened his eyes, allowing the wind to rush into them, chasing out his tears. He saw the rising road. The next second it was all over.
Joey Wheeler, was dead.
