I don't own the musketeers.

Aramis has been observing his friend closely over the past few months. There have been subtle changes in Athos behavior that has intrigued him. Such as the tiny trace of a smile constantly is planted on his face that could be easily missed, the way that he no longer complains when he has to drag Porthos out of a fight when one of his card games goes badly, he doesn't get drunk every night but has a one drink and then makes an excuse to leave.

There is only one reason that he could be acting this way. Ether there is an imposter impersonating him or he has gotten himself some pleasing company at home that he can't bear to be apart from. Although now that Aramis thinks about it, the first option seems more likely.

So when Captain Treville sends him to go find Athos when he doesn't turn up to the garrison one day he jumps at the chance to finally find out what's going on in his friends personal life.
