Chapter 1
The Start of a Grand Edventure!
OOO
It was a calm summer day in Peach Creek, Arizona. The birds sang melodious songs, the teens were playing and all was calm. It was the perfect day for the destinies of two teenage boys to be set in motion.
The two teens were enjoying a picnic together. (No, they do not have a bromance going on.) The two teens were best friends.
The teen on the left was fifteen years old with brown hair and dark brown eyes. He was wearing a crimson red shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
Next to him was a tall fifteen year old. He had yellow skin due to bathing in gravy for over half his life. He had long thick orange hair his mom decided to grow out. He wore the same clothes he wore as a child only bigger.
"This is nice, isn't Ed?" The brown haired teen asked.
"It is, Andrew." Ed replied. "It's so nice today I feel like napping."
"Well, don't nap until you tried a slice of my mom's famous…" Andrew pulled out a full cake with assorted berries on top. "Quintuple Berry Cake!"
"Oh boy! I love your mom's cakes!"
Andrew set the cake on the rug they were sitting on. "Okay, Ed." Andrew pulled out a fork. "Let's dig in!"
Ed pulled out a fork as well. Both of them raised their forks in the air. They jammed them down… only to jab into the rug.
Both of them looked in confusion.
When snickering was heard, Andrew and Ed could only assume one person was behind it: Jonny.
Ever since the kids accepted the Eds and Andrew, Jonny became a lame villain known as the Gourd. His friend Plank became Timber the Dark Shard. Ever since, the 'Gourd' has been causing mischief among the Eds.
Andrew and the Eds learned to deal with stuff like that. But, stealing Andrew and Ed's delicious Quintuple Berry Cake was a step too far.
Andrew and Ed dropped everything and ran after the snickering.
The snickering lead Andrew and Ed past the woods and into a strange cave. Andrew and Ed followed the snickering, going past stalactites as they ventured further and further, deeper and deeper into the cave.
When they thought they would reach molten magma, they found the entrance to a portal. It was huge and swirling and blue colored. A silhouette was seen in a grassy field on the other side.
Andrew and Ed, devoid of caution and worry, jumped in to pursue the cake thief.
OOO
The pink creature looked at the portal in confusion.
'I'm sure that portal wasn't there a few seconds ago.' He thought.
Suddenly, two strange boys popped out of the portal as it closed behind them.
One boy had brown hair and dark brown eyes wearing a red shirt, blue pants of some kind, and black shoes.
The other boy was tall and yellow skinned with long orange hair. He was wearing a green jacket, a red and white striped shirt, baggy blue pants and black shoes.
The two boys got up and saw the pink guy.
"Hey." The brown haired boy greeted.
"Um… hello?" The pink guy asked, confused why the boys weren't scared.
"I'm Andrew and this is my friend, Ed."
"Hullo, little guy."
"My name is Kirby. Nice to meet you guys… I guess."
"Have you seen a kid with a gourd on his head?"
"No." Kirby replied. "But, there have been rumors that King Dedede has a new lackey named the Gourd."
"That's him!" Andrew and Ed exclaimed.
"Why do you want him so badly?"
"He stole our Quintuple Berry Cake!" Ed cried.
"No kidding?" Kirby exclaimed. "My piece of strawberry short cake was stolen by King Dedede!"
"Then we have a common purpose!" Ed exclaimed.
"Whaddya say, Kirby? Wanna team up with us?"
"Why not?" Kirby said.
"Which way to King Dedede's Castle?" Andrew asked.
"That way." Kirby pointed north.
"LET'S GO!" Andrew and Ed screamed as the towed Kirby to the north, embarking on their first adventure together.
