WISHES!
She sat alone on top of the hill, staring off in to the horizon. Really everything was more beautiful at night. How the moon and stars shone so bright against the midnight sky. How everything was so peaceful, so quiet. You could actually think here. But in this kunoichi's case, you could wish.
Hinata wished for almost nothing. She wished for strength, for confidence, for people to have faith in her. But mostly she wished for Naruto. For Naruto to really love her like she loved him. For him to see more than just what she was on the outside. For him to see everything she couldn't see herself.
As she sat there wishing, she felt a warm tear roll down her soft cheek. She knew that her wishes were pointless. She knew she would never get anything she wished for. Mostly Naruto, he would never love her. And why would he? He was going to be the Hokage. What did he need a weak, shy person like her for? He didn't.
She felt more tears well up in her eyes. She tried to stop them from spilling over, but no luck, she couldn't control it and burst in to silent sobs. While her tears fell to the grass, a strong arm wrapped around her shaking shoulders.
She looked up, tears still rolling down her cheeks. Her eyes widened in shock as she saw the huge, slightly goofy grin she loved so much. She had to be dreaming. There was no other way he would ever do this. No . . . it was impossible.
"Hinata-chan, you shouldn't be out so late. You could be hurt." Naruto said kindly, some worry showing in his tone. "Why bother? No one would care anyway. No one loves me." she said as he sat next to her, more tears falling from her lavender eyes. Naruto hugged Hinata and pulled her close to his chest. He whispered softly, "Of course someone would miss you. And I know someone who loves you more than they can say. Do you want to who?" She nodded shyly, not wanting to move from the blond's embrace.
He smiled down at the dark haired kunoichi. "Its me." he whispered, lifting her chin so she was looking in to his beautiful blue orbs. Before she could say something more, he kissed her softly and lovingly. He moved away, leaving Hinata blushing and Smiling.
"I love you, Naruto-kun." she said hugging Naruto tightly. "I love you too, Hinata-chan." he whispered as she fell asleep in his arms.
Maybe, just maybe, she would get all her wishes. But until that day, she had her best wish right here. And she wasn't letting him get away.
