The Plagues of Kanto

A thing, an evil thing, slowly walked towards the ruins. His motives were cleared—To punish with impunity. He had bore the hardships of being so ugly as a child, but once he evolved, he only had one thing on his mind—to get his revenge. He was so blind to get his revenge he failed to see what his actions had on the rest of the world. He didn't know his sin would affect the lives of the innocent. But it did.

Totodile was a member of the regional pokémon stockpile program. The humans would ship pokémon from one region to another. Totodile was being shipped to Kanto to be part of an experience on how changes in starter pokémon affected rookie trainers. Totodile was resting comfortably in his pokéball, when a loud noise, followed by a hard shake, awoke him.

Totodile waited for who knows how long for the cart to start moving again—but it didn't. Totodile let itself out of his pokéball. He looked at the brown cart, smashed into tiny wood pieces. He turned to his right and saw the lifeless bodies of Rapidash lying on the ground. And worse of all, he saw the fleshy body of the human torn into bite-sized piece, with a noticeable portion of the human's head missing. All this took Totodile into shock—Totodile ran, he didn't know where he was running, he just ran. Then, he saw a black-and-white pokémon, a pokémon he had never seen before. The thing seemed to be waiting for something—then it became surrounded by bright, white lights. The beam fired a Totodile. Totodile was hit by the powerful attack and knocked into the river.

Totodile awoke from its unconscious state to find itself knocked on the edge of a small town. The most noticeable feature was the large tower in the middle of the town. Totodile walked towards the town, only to find the black-and-white pokémon and other pokémon like it—but shaped differently—destroying the town. One particular one of these struck its light attack at the tall tower, causing it to fall. The tower collided with a house, causing a fire. Totodile watched as the humans caught on fire, seeing life turn into ashes right in front of his eyes. Then, Totodile was struck with realization. Totodile knew that this was the end of the Earth.

The black-and-white pokémon attacked Totodile—he went flying towards the fire. Totodile held on his best—since Totodile didn't know any water attacks, he would be toast the minute he touched the fire. Totodile help up against the attack to the best of his abilities—if he made it through this, he could get help from the other pokémon. He felt the pressure of the world on his shoulders. But he couldn't hold on—he had let go of his life—and the world.
