Canada was standing on a large field. He was all alone, like always. He went so unnoticed in his life. He felt so lonely and he hated it. He really hated the feeling of uselessness, but whatever he did, nothing seemed to work. He was still the invisible nation. Nobody really saw him, nobody really needed him.
Even though he helped other numerous times. He stood by England, when America fought for his independence. He even fought along side him on the first World War. And England still overlooks him in favor of America.
He was part of Alliance against Germany in the second World War. He provided Netherlands home, while his home was occupied. He fought as hard as others, trying to push Germany back out of countries that he didn't belong to. And he was still sat on by most of his allies at the meetings.
Canada closed his eyes and sighed. He felt so hopeless. Nobody saw him, nobody cared about him. Nobody would probably notice if he just disappeared. Maybe he should do just that, and save himself the pain.
Suddenly Canada felt something warm touch his right hand. Surprised, he opened his eyes and glanced to his right. There he saw England, who was holding his hand, staring at him with his intense green eyes.
Another hand took his left hand into theirs. When he looked that way, he saw France looking at him. Another presence made itself known in front of him. He turned his head back to the front. America was standing in front of him with a sad smile on his face. It looked strange, when he was known to be always happy, but somehow it felt so right.
Various nations appeared around him. Russia smiled his childish smile and held up a hockey stick, "I expect to see you at the next tournament, my friend." Netherlands was standing not far, holding a huge bouquet of tulips. Cuba was there too, with his warm smile and big packet of his favorite maple ice-cream.
Canada smiled lightly, when suddenly America brought him into a hug. "Wha..?" Canada blinked shocked. But America shook his head. "You won't disappear," he whispered into Canada's ear, "We won't let you…"
