a/n: another History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. now about Apachai Hopachai, who doesn't love this guy, really. but it's on Miu's pov. it'll be hard as hell if i attempted it on Apachai's pov...apa? maybe i'll try next time.

APAPA!!! The Man with the Soul of Steel

She smiled as she saw Apachai stole a few steamed buns from Sakaki. She chuckled as she watched him munching on the buns while running away from the drunken karate master.

Ryozanpaku has been livelier since the muay thai master arrived. Well, it was more like Apachai followed them to the dojo and remained with them. He's pretty much convinient with some of the household chores. But at times, he caused a bit of casualties also.

It somehow surprised her when she learned that the giant man was regarded as the "Shinigami of Underground Muay Thai". She had to admit, he was already considered a master of the art. He was able to hold himself for some time against her grandfather while dogding a rain of bullets at the same time.

But what really bothered her was having the word 'death' and the name 'Apachai' in the same sentence.

The first time she met Apachai. Of course she felt a little intimidated. She met a giant hiding his features under the ragged cloak radiating a heavy atmosphere around him. But all that fear was erased at sound of his grumbling stomach. All that heavy air disappeared after she offered her riceball. He was like a child given a new toy. But what amazed her was that he ate only half of the riceball and shared the other half with the other animals in the forest.

It was not something a death god would do, not in a billion years. It was more like an act of an angel.

Yet she later learned from her grandfather how he obtained the title.

The gentle giant was forced in to the underground world of muay thai. Placed in deathmatches, where he had no other choice but to fight. People were gambling on his life, receiving rewards far less that what he truly deserves.

It was cruel. They took advantage of his ignorance. Making him do things his true nature would not do.

It was also unbelievable. For anyone who knew Apachai, they would not believe that he was capable of killing. That his gentle heart who protect them.

But she knew to be a protector, one will still end up hurting another for the sake of what's precious to them.

She understood that well for she belong to the same world as he, the world of martial arts.

It was evident in his reflexes. The fact that he could not go easy at Kenichi show how much he was fighting for survival. Pouring out everything to remain alive. It was sculpted on his body. From the numerous battles scars he received to the huge muscles he built. He unconsciously became a lethal machine. His fist would never be away to the smell of blood from the past.

But despite all of that, he remained the gentle honest giant. For an ordinary person, he would have cursed the world. Hated everyone. Seek revenge. But she could tell that he was more than that.

He has a big heart. A big heart that has been protected by his iron soul. Never to hurt his heart with sorrow, never to taint it with malice.

It was what truly made him strong.

Every time she glanced at the giant, she smiled. It's not the shinigami she saw but Apachai, the angel who gave her a cherry in exchange of the riceball.

hope you guys enjoyed it...review?
