McLeod's Daughter
Chapter 1:
Stevie was sitting at the porch drinking a glass of coffee thinking about Alex. She was so glad that he had proclaimed that he loved her, but she was a bit confused about how Marcus was going to do next. It seemed he liked her also and if it was true she wouldn't know what to do next. That and the fact that she had told Alex that she loved him too, she knew that she didn't like Marcus for sure.
"Hey." Regan said settling down across from Stevie setting her mug down, "Thinking about Alex?"
"N- No I wasn't!" Stevie stammered wondering how Regan guessed so perfectly.
"Alright, whatever you say." Regan said shrugging her shoulders and then took a sip from her mug.
"I'll go check if Tayler needs any help." Stevie said hastily, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. She knew she loved Alex to bits but the fact that people could actually identify how close they were made it feel like they were invading her private space. Well you did choose to display a kiss in front of everyone at the tournament.

Alex sat examing a ring; he had been doing so for the past five minutes. Alex heard footsteps approaching and quickly stuffed the ring into his pocket.
"Hey mate." Marcus greeted and joined his brother.
"Hey." Alex replied staring straight ahead.
"What do you think about Stevie?" Marcus asked, he knew his brother loved her but he wasn't completely convinced; he needed to hear those words repeated from his brother to him.
"What about Stevie?" Alex asked all attention focused on his brother. Any talk about Stevie always drew his attention.
"Real beauty ain't she?" Marcus asked to see if Alex agreed with his statement.
"She's beyond beautiful, she's perfect." Alex answered as a picture of Stevie popped up in his mind.
"But do you love her?" Marcus asked eager for an answer.
"What I feel fro Stevie is none of your business mate, quit butting in." Alex snapped as he stood up and then began to walk away annoyed by his brother's questions. Typical Alex Marcus thought as he got up to back inside.
