A Warriors Song-fic

Squirrelflight padded up to the sleeping she-cat. "I know there's something in the way that you smile." She sang. "I get a notion from the look in your eyes." She lay by Leafpool, asleep, alone in her den. "You've been through love, but that love falls apart. A little piece of Haven Turns to dark. Listen to your Heart. When he's calling for you. Listen to your heart." She sang to her sibling. "There's nothing else you can do. I don't know where you're going, and I don't know why, but Listen to your heart before, you tell him good-bye…" Leafpool stirred, lifting her head to see her sister by her side. "Squirrelflight." She said. "What are you doing here?" "Go back to sleep, Leafpool." Squirrelflight said. "You've had a long night." Leafpool's eyes sprang open. "Y-you know?" She asked, now completely awake. All Squirrelflight did was keep singing. "Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile. The precious moments are lost in the time. There swept away, and nothing is what it seems, A feeling of belonging, to your dreams." She bowed her head. "You shouldn't be doing this, Leafpool…" She said. "I know. It's against the warrior code. But…" Leafpool raised her sister's head with her tail. "I love him, Squirrelflight! Surely you know what I mean! Especially with Ashfur and-" Her sister looked at her with hatred. "Hollyleaf was the reason he's dead! And you're the reason Hollyleaf's dead!" She hissed. She turned to go out, into the clearing, "Listen to your Heart before you tell him goodbye." She whipped around, and left Leafpool, alone, in the medicine cat's den.
