Sigh.
It seemed endless. Everyday there was more and more. Sunshine seemed like just a myth—a superstition.
Hillwood had never seen so much snow in years. Every night Helga would go to bed after staring numbly at the frost covered snow and wake up, dragging herself to the window only to see that another 6 or more inches had fallen during the night. The plowed snow on the side of the road was three feet taller than herself. The drifts in her backyard seemed to be stretching, trying to reach over her head. Long, heavy icicles hung down all around the neighborhood like teeth waiting to bite.
When would it end? Spring had to be getting closer…February was drawing to a close; St. Patrick's Day and green clovers were just around the corner. But no, as she opened the curtains once more she saw it had begun to snow again.
Endless.
Staring outside at the blanketed landscape she placed chin in hand and wondered what she could do inside—the freezing weather outside gave her no desire to venture out. It was as if there was nothing good in this whole white world.
Sigh.
Suddenly two blonde tufts flew by on a sled.
"Arnold!" Helga gasped. Grabbing her coat and scarf she ran out the door into the waiting world of fun and the always possible chance of love waiting over the glittering, white horizon.

Author's Note: Just wanted to try my hand at a one shot. This one shot is my life currently. Endless snow. Last winter I got married in the middle of a blizzard and this winter (even in another state) is turning out to be just as bad. But there's been some sunshine and I have hope! Anyway, hope you enjoyed! R&R!
