A Sam/Andy fic.
...
Disclaimer: Nope, still don't own Rookie Blue.
...
A/N: Thanks to everyone who has reviewed my stories so far, I'm so glad you've been enjoying them! This has been such a rush, I've practically been living and breathing Rookie Blue for the last twelve days. Including a quite pleasant dream about Sam last night ... hehe.
Alrighty, this one is basically about how Sam and Andy's "opposites attract" relationship works.
I hope you guys like this, I know I'll love writing it.
As always, please read and review, I live for feedback!

They were a good team, a good unit, a good fit ... for a reason.
He was a rogue. He followed his own set of rules, his own path of righteousness. He enforced the law, and did whatever it took to take down the bad guys, and protect the good guys. His methods were sometimes questionable, but he always got results. He knew the world was going to hell, but did what he could to make a difference, however small it was.
She was an idealist. She wanted to believe that the world could be a perfect place, if only people could work together to make it that way. She believed in seeing the good in people, and that everyone deserved a second chance. She knew that she wasn't a perfect cop, but strived every day to better herself in her own eyes, and the eyes of coworkers ... and superiors.
Together, despite their different views and methods, they made a well-oiled unit.
He was rubbing off on her, causing her to "color outside the lines", as he put it. But she was rubbing off on him, too. He never cared about his rookies before. He didn't want to take on a rookie, he wasn't a 'partner' kind of cop ... but that had changed when she came into his life. Barreled straight into it, more like.
By all rights, he should despise her. He should hate her for what she did, for ruining eight months of undercover work. And she should hate him, too ... he'd been so mean to her, so callous and unforgiving. But she didn't hate him ... sometimes, it seemed like the idolized him.
There was an unspoken agreement between them. They both knew there was something more between them than partnership, but they both knew that until their circumstances changed, that was all they could have.
So, they carried on the way they were ... the rogue and the idealist, two halves of a perfect partnership, that one day would become two parts of a whole, in every way possible.
...
The end.
Just a short little fic.
What did you guys think? Like it, hate it?
Reviews are appreciated, flame if you must, but constructive criticism is much more useful.
Until next time ...!
