Naruto always made Hinata laugh with the simplest, silliest of things. He tried stunts, from dangerous to foolish, just to get a smile. It gave her a nice, warm feeling, knowing that Naruto would do anything to impress her.
Like the time he tried (and failed) to balance a full bowl of ramen on his nose while standing one-legged on a stool. Hinata sat there giggling with her hands clasped over her mouth shyly, until the bowl fell. Naruto let the laughing Hinata patch up the burn on the back of the neck, even though it was already partly healed.
Ichiraku-san had given them free lunch for "providing entertainment" and given them a wink, his daughter Ayame beaming at them with a knowing smile. Naruto hugged the embarrassed Hyuuga Hinata around the waist and thanked them with a fox grin.
Hinata still giggled every time they saw that familiar bowl at lunch dates, and then it was Naruto's turn to blush.
Or the time Kiba-kun came over and challenged Naruto to a tracking contest just to see who was better, using Hinata-chan's handkerchief as the target. Naruto gave her a speech that he was going to win in a dramatic, flowery way she was sure he'd copied off Lee-kun, and hid her smile and giggles behind her hair.
They returned looking the worse for wear, covered in underbrush, dirt and bruises. Hinata nearly laughed herself to death when the boys unhappily informed her of the winner.
Akamaru received the belly rub of a lifetime that night.
(Naruto, with his gentle smile, was just happy to see Hinata-chan happy.)
His enthusiastic shout of, "Look! Look, Hinata-chan!" always made her smile and start to laugh before she went to see.
