Notes: Meant to take place in Weather Or Not, but before the last scene in the lounge.
Dedication: To jesusfreakfairy, who pointed out that I hadn't had Rose and Mack kiss before this ficlet, and to Pink-Green-White-4ever, just because she freaking rocks. Love ya, babe!

She wasn't sure why she sought him out, or even what she was found to say when she found him. But she was pretty sure when she'd found him she would figure it all out. Mack was very easy to talk to, and Rose had no doubt he'd always take the time to listen to her whenever she did need a listening ear.
The most obvious place to look was his hammock out in the yard, but he was not there. "That's funny," she mused, and then returned to the manor house.
"He's in his room, Rose," chirped Ronny from her spot in the lounge. The yellow ranger was sprawled out on a black couch, leaning against a sleeping Will, leisurely flipping through a racing magazine. Rose thanked her teammate and headed upstairs to the third floor, where she knew Mack's bedroom was located.
The first door she came to was open and at first glance Rose knew this was what she had been looking for. The walls were red, and various posters advertising anime were tacked up on the walls. Mack himself was standing in the center of his room, surrounded by a pile of jeans and red T-shirts.
"Knock, knock," Rose said, and Mack spun around to look at her. Smiling his usual happy go lucky grin at the pink ranger, he waved her inside.
"Come in," Mack invited. "I'm just trying to figure out what to pack. I had all my clothes ready to go and then our first trip got canceled and everything…"
Rose smiled back and found her way over to the neatly made bed. "I know exactly what you mean," she said. "I did the same thing."
She furrowed her brow in thought, deciding what she was going to say. Mack studied her face. "You want to yell at me for not believing in myself? Everyone else had their words to say."
"Of course I don't want to yell at you." Rose got up off of his bed and went to his side, resting a hand on his forearm. "Mack, look at me," she commanded.
The red ranger did as he was told. "Now, if I had wanted to yell at you then I wouldn't have smiled. I just wanted to tell you that I don't ever want to hear you say that you can't ever again, alright? Because you know and I know what you can do whatever you put your mind to. And, yes, I am very aware that I just sounded like a complete and utter idiot."
"Never. Not you," he told her seriously. "And I've learned my lesson about giving in and quitting. I promise you that, Rosie." Mack's usual smile returned to his face.
"Good," Rose said firmly. After a moment's though she added, "I never lost faith in you, Mack. I knew you'd find a way to save us. To save me."
The way Rose said it made Mack's heart melt. There was definitely something there, and she felt it too. Without thinking, the red ranger pulled his pink ranger into his arms in a tight hug. "Perfect fit," he thought. And then he was kissing her like his life depended on it, and Rose was kissing him back.
"And I'll never lose faith in us, Rose."
