"I love you Demetria." Whispered Justin.

Honey, why do you need to talk so late?

I will be here for you,

"Hello?" Demetria spoke into the phone confused, it was late and her cell phone was blowing up with his ring tone.

"Demi?" I shivered at the nickname he gave me from the days when we used to be more than just friends. Hearing his voice again made me weak coming from the lips of an angel I couldn't think.

"uh, yeah.." she couldn't help the memories it was too much for her.

But it's to hard talking in this state.

Justin saw the pain in Demetria's eyes but it was to late he already made the mistake he would regret for the rest of his life. But he knew that breaking up with the one he loves was right.

"Demi, please hear me out." Justin pleaded towards demi; he longed to look into her beautiful hazel eyes where her thick eyelashes rimmed the gorgeous colours. With every movement in the light you saw all the different shades of green and brown. He was hoping for a miracle that she would stand from her hunched position and lift her head out of her hands to look at him.

"Why Justin? You told me you loved me, what happened?" Demi replied wiping away the tears that were falling silently on the dry summer grass. The night was warm but demi was getting cold all she wanted was for Justin to wrap his arms one last time around her.

"I think it is best to just stay friends, I'm sorry." Justin had said before getting back in his car.

"Goodbye." Demi smiled at Justin but inside she was dead, thinking Justin just didn't love her was enough to kill her. Justin saw the pain behind her smile as he drove off leaving Demi by herself on the grass beneath the stars in her back yard. She saw his tail lights fading as she sunk to her knees and began crying. The tears fell from Justin's face as he drove faster and faster down the road. He was confused and couldn't believe that following his dream and hiding secrets from his best friend and the girl he loved was worth losing her.

"How have you been?" The familiar voice barely whispered into the line.

"Better." Demi could only give him one-word answers for she couldn't talk right now.

"Well, I just need to talk to a friend right now. This music business has been so tiring that all I need right now is someone to talk to."

I guess you want to talk to a friend,

Since you moved on,

But I can't pretend.

"But why me, Justin? We haven't talked since three summers back and now my phone starts ringing your ring tone and I have to think we're still friends? It's to hard Justin; I still think about that day that I lost my heart," Demi felt the stabbing pain appear in her heart again as she clutched her chest, "I still love you." She whispered so quietly she doubt Justin would hear.

Every night I hope I survive,

This love lasted a lifetime,

But you let my love die.

It hurts inside when I hear you say 'Goodbye.'

"Um, Demi I have to go they are calling me on stage. I-I'm sorry." Justin was afraid he had hurt her again when the last thing he ever thought would help demi is that she would just forget him and move on, looks like that never happened. There wasn't a day that either of them had gone without thinking of one another, and now when he rings her for the first time in three years he feels the love he still has for her.

It's really hard when you hang up the phone,

Because without your voice,

I feel so alone.

When you said goodbye,

You saw me smile.

But that's a lie.

Demi heard the other end disappear as she held her phone to her ear, hoping to hear his voice one last time.
