"If I see heaven, what I've made of it, I might kill myself." The words came out of Castiel's mouth before he could stop them. He audibly swallowed, wringing his hands as a dead silence blanketed the room. The angel was worried about what Dean's response would be. He slowly looked up from his shaky hands, glancing in Dean's direction. What Cas saw broke his heart, he was suddenly worried as the idea that the hunter might leave sprung to mind. He knew Dean was never the best when it came to handling feelings.
Dean looked like he was about to cry, his usually lively, green eyes were a duller color and full of tears that he wouldn't shed. His lips were slightly parted and his eyebrows were knitted together in what looked like shock. His breathing was slightly more labored and his lip was quivering. With the same expression, Dean said, "Come here," Slowly, the angel stood up and walked to Dean, only stopping when he was directly in front of him. Dean quickly stood up, as if he thought the angel would leave, and wrapped his arms tightly around Cas. "Never say that," He whispered into Castiel's dark, unruly hair, a tear making its way down Dean's face. "I….I need you, Cas," Castiel started to cry, too. He held onto Dean like he was the only thing keeping him from floating away, and buried his head into his chest. "I'm sorry, Dean." "No," Dean replied suddenly. "Never be sorry. Cas, none of that was your fault. You never meant anything bad to happen, you were trying to help. Never, not even for a second, think that you're going to kill yourself because I'm never going to let that happen." Dean moved his hands into the angel's and said, "God dammit, Cas. I love you, so please….. just stay." Castiel had never been more shocked in his life. Cas reached upward, wrapping his arms around Dean's neck. They both crashed their lips together, passionately kissing one another. After a few minutes, they broke apart, looking into each other's eyes.
Sam's POV
It was late when I got back from the supply run and quite frankly, I was exhausted. So right as soon as I unlocked our motel room, I set the bags of groceries on the table and collapsed onto my bed. "Wait a minute," I said as my head shot up. I looked over to Dean's bed to confirm my accusation. What I saw was Cas and Dean, cuddling in their sleep with Castiel's head resting on Dean's chest. "I knew it. Sure as hell took them long enough, though." I whispered noticing the faint smile on Dean's face. "At least he's happy for once," I said, staggering towards his own bed to get some sleep. Of course I was happy for them, but that didn't mean I'm not going to give Dean a hell of a hard time later.
