Your soul mates name appears on your skin the night before you meet them. Will Sheldon ever meet his?
Everyone knew that the night before you met your soul mate their name would appear on your skin.
For Many years Sheldon wondered if he would ever meet his soul mate. He thought the entire concept was ridiculous and as the years went by and he watched as others found their soul mates he simply believed he didn't have one.
He had watched as Leonard found his soul mate, Howard and even Raj. Sometimes it upset him to see that they were happy and moving on with their lives but he always told himself he didn't need a soul mate.
It was Friday morning and his last day at work for the week.
He enjoyed work so got on with his morning routine happily.
He showered and dressed in the his work clothes before heading over to the sink to brush his teeth.
When he looked into the mirror to comb his hair he had to do a double take when he saw the black print just below his hair line on his forehead.
Amy Farrah Fowler.
This was it, he did have a soul mate and he was going to meet her today!
Many questions ran through his mind.
What if she was dumb like Penny?
What if she didn't like him?
What if he couldn't love her like Leonard, Howard and Raj loved their should mate?
Or worse what is he fell for her but she didn't for him.
There had been stories before, although rare of being matched up with the wrong soul mate and in the end you hate each other leaving you both heartbroken.
This was bad, really bad.
He thought about just not going to work but decided it was best to find out. Even if this Amy person didn't like him and didn't want to spend his life with him he could walk away and go back to science.
It was all he needed. His work.
The journey to work was one full of happy smiles from strangers when they saw the name printed on his head. He felt uncomfortable being watched and smiled at but got along with his day just fine.
As he was leaving the university he found himself being diverted towards the biology department. He couldn't for the life of him understand why. It was like his feet had a mind of their own.
"Just wanted a change of scenery.." He told himself.
As he rounded the corner swiftly he found himself tumbling to the floor..
He expected to be hurt but something..well someone had cushioned his fall.
He looked down at the women he had landed upon.
It was her eyes he saw first. Beautiful bright green eyes and then it was the name printed on her head in the exact same place as him.
Sheldon Lee Cooper.
"Amy.." He whispered.
"Sheldon..."
Startled Sheldon jumped up from the floor.
Being the gentleman he was he helped Amy from the floor.
"Um...hi." She said awkwardly.
"Hi." He squeaked.
She smiled.
"Oh that's smile." He thought. "This was it. This was her. This was his soul mate."
"I'm Dr Amy Farrah Fowler." She said holding her hand out to greet him.
"A doctor! She must be smart..although she is coming from the biology department..."
"Dr Sheldon Lee Cooper, theoretical physicist." He replied proudly shaking her hand.
She nodded and smiled. "I'm a neurobiologist."
"Not bad I suppose." He thought.
He smiled. "Well Dr Fowler, I think we should get to know each other more. Don't you?" He asked.
She grinned. "I do." She said almost breathlessly.

"Dad! Mom!" Ellie Cooper shouted as she entered her parents home.
"What's wrong?" Sheldon asked panicked. Amy joined in the panic until they saw the smile on their daughters face.
"Look!" She said grinning.
She pulled her sleeve up on her shirt to expose the familiar black print.
Matthew Wolowitz.
"No!" Sheldon shouted seeing the name.
Amy and Ellie just giggled.
"I knew it." Amy grinned.
Another AU soul mate story.
