(As presumptious as it sounds, I recommend you read this while listening to "His Theme (slow build-up version)". Look it up on youtube, I'm not too sure of how links work here yet.)

"...Don't you have anything better to do?"

* You thought that hearing these words for the 15th time, they would no longer phase you. Yet, they sting harder.

* Asriel looks disheartened as usual. He's accepted his situation despite everything he's been through, with such grace and understanding, but it can't mask the intermitent shakiness in his voice. He's resigned to an eternity of loneliness and apathy. Of never being able to feel anything nice again, but desperately wanting to feel something.

* ...

* He has, but you haven't.

"It was nice to meet you... But the others are waiting on you, so don't leave them hanging for much longer."

* ...If only he knew.

"...Goodbye, Frisk."

* You barely manage to raise your hand and wave him goodbye. His trembling, miserable smile, as honest as it is fragile, tries to reassure you. Seeing this sight... It never gets any easier.

...

* Just outside that room, where you first met Asriel. Where you first met Flowey. Whenever you see it again, whenever you dodge the bullets, you feel it. The resolution to save him, which you always tell yourself, that this will be it, the one reset where you manage to finally help him. But also the increasing disappointment in that you still haven't.

* You've tried so many things. You've come to know so much about him, about his previous life.

* You briefly considered offering him your soul. Still, you aren't that determined. Just like Asriel, you don't want to stop being yourself. You don't want to stop being. To die. Not yet. As much as it stabs at you how much suffering he's been through, you can't bring yourself to do it.

* Besides, there's still them.

* CMharEa.

* You still want to give them another chance. To be their friend. To save them. Both of them. You don't know why, but you feel like something's not entirely right. You realize that, since your fall, you've never really felt... alone. As if someone's been watching you this entire time. No. Not just watching...

* Walking alongside you. Experiencing the same as you. With you. Could it be...?

* It doesn't make sense. But you feel like you know.

* You start to become confused and slightly frustrated. From the beginning, this all felt so intense and, somehow, disconnected. Distant, yet close. Like a dream.

* You think maybe it has to do with all the resets. Then again, how is it even possible? How can you rewrite this world? Why? And for what, if it always ends like this, over and over again.

* ...

* You had an idea. One last try, to know what is going on. A farfetched, horrible choice. But you can't think of anything else. A final attempt, based on what he told you about them. If you're correct, maybe this'll be the key to knowing more about them.

* ...

* ...

* You don't want to do this. But you feel like you have to. That there's no other way. That whatever happens, you can just erase it all and fall back on the bed of golden flowers.

* ...

* You find the resolve to do one more reset.

* The DETERMINATION.

* To unlock the final piece of the puzzle.

* To tying up all the loose ends.

* To do everything it takes to save them both.

* To go after ChMaEra.
