Some people have the courage to stand up and walk away from their fears or past. But that's hard, and it's harder than it seems. Many of those people had some sort of disadvantage, whether it is physical or mental. But those people with the courage used their disadvantage to their advantage or overcame it. John is someone who had a bad past and can't find the courage to vanquish it. He tried everything, including therapies and medicines, but nothing helped. He slowly started to slip away into a serious depression. Before he could completely succumb to depression, a good friend of his offered another therapy session. John accepted, and at the first session, his counselor was positive she could help. Later, she felt like there was no hope of pulling John out of the Abyss of Depression, filled with pain, regret, sadness, and anger. Although one day when John came in, he came in with a bright spark shining in his eyes. Even though it disappeared almost as quickly as it came, his counselor decided there was a chance of pulling him out of his morose state. Soon week turned into months and eventually years went by. His counselor managed to get more and more of the spark back, and get John to smile and laugh. John may not have completely subjugated his past, but he managed to find a way around the Abyss of Depression and motivate himself to get up and walk. He had dared to move. With the help of his counselor and friends, he had dared himself to move. This is John Smith's story, and not everybody has the courage like him. But when the times is right, perhaps others in the world (or universe) can dare themselves to move.
