His favorite part of the notes he's been getting recently.He snapped back into reality. He could never return there, not with his grandma in a full-time nursing home and his dad with his relapse of his illness.

"Gregor, I'm taking Lizzie and Boots to go to the grocery store! Your dad is sleeping in his room! Don't get into any trouble while we're gone!"

"Okay mom!" Although his mom was only 30 feet away, at maximum, she sounded like a mile away.

"I wonder if she's getting the flu or cold or something," thought Gregor. It's been a week since he left a letter by the grate in his laundry room, hoping someone from Underland would pick it up.
