They don't know which one is broken more. One, in his dark suit, needs machines to breathe. He lost his arms and legs. Some say he lost himself when he fell. It's not true. He is there, in all his glory. Just... Some inconvenient parts are left buried deep inside, waiting for the time they will be useful, not damning.

The other one seems whole. He aged, yes, but he aged well, they say. He is still quite strong for his age, they say. They don't know he is in fact 20 years younger than he seems.

He was once a great negotiator, mastermind strategist. Yet now his strategies are very simple. Do the task, then ... worry when you come to it. He always was the cautious one, yet now his plans are more reckless than his appretience's ever were. He doesnt care if he lives, as long as his death helps the cause.

Some say he is just old hermit. Some see the man he was once and call him a hero. He is much more of the first one than the second. Crazy, old

hermit, they call him. They aren't fully wrong, nor are they right though. He is just broken.

Not in body, no. His spirit was broken. It's lost now. There is barely anything left of it.

But she asks the one who he used to be to help. She seems so much like his lost brother. Not in appearience, that's purely her mother. But in domeanor. Yes. In domeanor she is pure her father. And that makes him gather the rest of his strenght and go save her. He takes her brother with him.

As he duels the one he lost, the one he lost him to (no matter they are technically the same person, in one destroyed body), as he duels him, he feels them leave, they are nearly save. Now he will just slow them down. So he lets go. He says something about death and power. It doesn't matter. He is done and can now rest at last.

The red lightsaber comes and everything goes black.

Hi! A short ficklet here mostly about Obi-Wan. Canon compilant.

If you haven't guessed, the first one mentioned, the lost brother, is Anakin/Vader, the „she" is Leia and „her brother" is her brother, that is, Luke.

When I read it later I will probably think it useless, but maybe someone more talented than me in writing will find inspiration in it. I just think that really, Kenobi may be the man more lost than Skywalker after Episode III. Why, I wrote above. There are too little fanfics about relationship, both father-son and brotherhood between Ani and Obi...

Thank you for reading and may the Force be with you!
