Nobody really knows about Raven's past before she met the Titans. So here is a story that I wrote for it. Please R&R my first story "The Last Breath" and this one too. I am making another few chapters for both stories don't worry!!!

Raven sat upon the grey rock, looking out across the beach into the sunset. Even though she was only eleven, she was very intelligent for her age. Like, she knew the square root of pie, and all the capitals of the United States. Oh, and she knew she was going to be used by her dad by being a portal for him to get onto the Earth so he can destroy it. Yeah, her life was great, she would never have friends, and she would have to be evil.

At that thought, thunder clapped around her as rain started to fall. She jumped of the large rock still staring across the ocean. "Ouch" she whispered as another pang of power hit her. Trigon is always trying to turn her evil quickly so he can get more control of her. "It's not going to happen Trigon" she yelled as she turned toward her house. A loud clap of thunder pounded her eardrums as she walked. I wonder why he's so angry all the time, all he does is think about destroying a planet he can't even get to. "Oh, right that's why" said Raven.

Her house was small and cramped but it was all she could afford with the money she took from people on that walked down the street to their safe little homes, and stupid jobs while she was being watched by an evil demon. But she would fight against him with everything she had. Her powers had gotten stronger and she was ready to fight against his commands.

She stepped through the broken doorway, peering into the darkness of her home. She walked to the small kitchen thinking about her harsh childhood.

Flashback

Raven walked towards her mother, her eyes were glazed with fear. She was only six at the time, but she knew when she was in danger of her mother. As she stepped in the murky, brown room Raven felt a pang of fear that made her want to turn around and run. Her mother was always cruel, but Raven never knew why. She neglected her, and abandoned Raven when she was hungry or sick. Raven knew how to feed herself, but it would be nice if she cared. Her mother was standing there looking at her with anger and fear in her eyes. "Hi mother" Raven whispered looking up to her. "Get to bed" she said quietly as Raven stared at her. "Fine then" Raven stammered, she turned towards her room to leave. "Wait" her mother whimpered to her. "Yes" she said as she turned to face her.

End Flashback

Raven crept through the hallway to her bland room. She never used this house unless she was on the run, and even then this house was the last place she would go. But of course it had a great view, and I repeat that NOBODY would look here. So yeah, pretty good place to hide. Oh and did I mention that Trigon is trying to hunt me down. It sucks badly and from that I ran away from my mom about a month ago. For her own safety though, she didn't want Trigon to track her to her mother.

She fell down onto the old bed she found closing her eyes. She didn't mind being a loner that was on the run. Her mind just adapted to running away and fighting for her freedom. The city was far away sure, but she was able to walk. Her powers were stronger than they had been when she was six. So she was able to fight off a lot of those perverts on the street. Yeah nobody saw her use her powers. She was excellent at keeping her secret. The food there though was terrible, but Raven did all she could to eat decently. "Well got to walk a long way tomorrow, might as well get some sleep" she murmured to herself. She turned over and fell asleep.
