Everyday I look into the minds of others. Sometimes whe I pull someone over for speeding or a routine check, I laugh. It's always interesting to hear the check list of things people go thorugh.

What to say, what facial expression to wear, or what exactly to deny. They debate if they should go with the emotionless face, or the I'm-not-afraid face, the dear-lord-let-me-not-piss-in-my-pants face, and my personal favourite, the Tough Guy face. The excuses they make are amazing. I sometimes wonder if they speed only because their minds are going on overdrive 24/7.

As I drive home, thoughts of so many people pass me by. Some are prayers

"Father, who art in heaven, hallowed...."

Some are words they'll say only moments after I hear them in my mind

"I hate you! I can't believe you cheated on..."
"Daddy, guess what! I made it on to the soccer team!..."

Some are thoughts, privately said in the comfort of their minds.

"I love you. You'll never know I love you...."

I hear them all the time. Sometimes, it's louder than others. Sometimes, it's almost like white noise. But I know they're there. I'll forever be tuned in on other people's thought, on their brainwaves.

Because no matter where I go or what I do, I will live my entire life within the confines of other people's head.
