Summary: Jack travels with a Doctor that doesn't know him. It starts out as a 'From Point A to Point B' sort of thing, but knowing the Doctor, he's not a bit surprised when things get very complicated very fast. ONESHOT

Perfect Fit

"Well...I'm not sure that's smart. I told you that I rode with a later you...and it was during that time that I became the Fixed Point that was bothering you until you got used to it."

"Oh, come on...you're the only companion I've ever met that I can't damage...much. And seriously? When you're from, you're as much of a Rainbow Rider as I am! It'll be fun!"

Jack thought about it. "Only if you tone down that coat...change it to several tones of TARDIS blue...cuz I refuse to be seen in public with anyone wearing such a crazy thing."

"Done! A suit in tones of TARDIS blue? Why didn't I think of that? It's a wonderful idea." Sixth told him before flitting down the hall toward the Wardrobe Room, no longer hiding his tendency to skip...

Jack raised his eyes to the ceiling in the console room. "Keep me from paradox creations, will you, Old Girl?" He asked plaintively. "I just can't not get my hands on him when he's clearly such a bottom boy. Nine is so...well...TOP."

He got an affirmation from the watchful ship, followed by pure mirth.

"Yeah, got it bad, don't we? Me and Rose both, really. He's gonna flip when he finds out who the blonde down the hall is...can't you just shift her forward to the correct version of you? I'll explain to Six."

He felt agreement and then a hand wrapped around his waist. "Oh, lovely, my ship loves you too. She won't speak to just anyone, you know."

"Yeah. There's something she needs to do and while she's doing that, I have to explain about Rose...whom your TARDIS is forwarding to the correct version of herself. Rose isn't someone you can tamper with, see...way too complicated, our Rose." He looked the Doctor over in his new outfit and nodded. "Yeah, much better. A walking signpost isn't something you need to be, Doctor."

"What do you mean? And the advert worked didn't it? You're here!"

And he rolled his eyes at the last remark, then told the Sixth all of it. "You're gonna have to figure out what you can keep or not on your own though." He accepted the nod from the waiting Time Lord and the began to speak.

"So, the ship acted correctly, forwarding her as she slept to the correct her and so the correct me. Looking into the Heart for love of us...amazing. Giving up your homeworlds and species to stay with me..." He summarized, at the end of Jack's explanation.

"Yeah. We both love you, Doctor, whatever the face and form."

"I...I see that." Tears dripped down the Sixth's face, he flung his arms around Jack's neck and Jack rolled his eyes at the Ship as he patted the wailing Sixth comfortingly. "And...and I won't get to keep any of Rose's bit...my poor BABY! Or most of your's...oh Jack-Jack, however will I bear it, to tuck it away?"

See what I mean? Jack told the Time Ship This form is definitely a bottom boy...very, very bottom. But that 62nd Century advertisment coat had to go.

The TARDIS chuckled to herself...Jack Harkness and the Doctor's sixth body really were a perfect fit.
