AN: Gretel is slightly aged up due to the plot of the story, she and my OC are about 15/16.
Disclaimer: I don't own The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas nor do I own the characters, I only own my OC, Elise.
"Look children, there it is, our new house." Her mother's smile brightened Gretel's mood instantly, having being most vexed about having to move to…Poland….even the name made her shudder with disgust.
It wasn't much to look at on the outside, it looked quite dull yet it held a certain beauty, already she missed her Mahogany staircases and plush sofa's and that wonderful fur coat that her Grandmother had bought her, a searing regret ran through her mind at having forgotten it.
"I like the old one better." Said Bruno, glumly, he looked around in distain at the granite drive and the never ending fields.
"Give it a chance." Ralph placed his hand on Bruno's shoulder, "You might like the place even more than the last house."
I hardly think so. Gretel scoffed internally.
"Sich bewegen! Juden bewegen, stinkende sie!" The Nazi Guard shoved Elise hard against cattle cart and searched her for any personal effects. All around her were wailing babies and the ear-splitting howls of barking dogs, and somehow they were all drowned out by the evil voice of the Nazis barking orders in German and English.
Immediately Elise was led to the right, not that she knew what that meant at the time, she was given a uniform, but not just any old uniform, she had to be given a specific uniform with a specific colour, the guard threw it at her, looked her up and down in disgust and said, "You're one of those girls, are you?" Elise knew that answering back would mean her death, so she nodded and kept tight lipped. Yes, Elise was one of those girls who society disliked, her uniform bore the star of Jude… and that was reason enough for society to hate her…but there was another colour on her striped Pyjamas….a colour that caused most people to recoil at the sight of seeing her…..the pink star. She was a homosexual.
Ok, going to end the first chapter there! Reviews would be lovely, thank you so much for reading this!
