Dumbledore spoke with Professor McGonagall when A motorbike came soaring through the sky. It landed and Dumbledore smiled as the large man landed.
"Hagrid, I trust you flew well?" He asked with a familiar gleam in his eye.
"Lil' thing fell 'sleep was were wer' flyin' over Bristol." He said. Dumbledore nodded and thats when Hagrid lifted the small boy; his sister would be arriving soon. Harry had tears streaks running down were he was previously crying at his Mother's dead body. Then a large 'CRACK!' sounded through Privet Drive. The three looked over to see the one and only Severus Snape carrying the elder twin by 5 minutes, Charlotte Lilian Potter. She had Black hair and Green eyes, awake in Snape's arms. She was clutching a teddy bear like it was dear life, and she was wrapped in a blanket. Her head was rested on his shoulder as he balanced her on his hip. A single tear ran down her cheek, then disappearing in the rift of a newly formed cut along her cheek, most definitely going to be a scar. Minerva gasped.
"Is that where he..." She trailed off. Dumbledore nodded with sorrow. Snape adjusted his hold on the girl.
"She doesn't seem to want to sleep." Snape said as she gripped his finger. Dumbledore smiled at her innocence.
"Charlotte went through something traumatic. She's reliving it, though she's young, she's extremely smart." Dumbledore said. Severus sighed. They put the two children on the doorstep of the Dursleys and wrapped the blanket around them both before leaving them.
11 years later...
"GET UP YOU FREAKS! WE'RE LEAVING!" Aunt Petunia yelled as she pounded on the door. I shook Harry awake, I had been awake for hours. I went to the bathroom and got dressed. When I came back out I went to the car after quickly packing my things. I grabbed Harry and made him sit by the window so Dudley wouldn't hurt him. Uncle Vernon slammed the house door closed and ran to the car before driving off. I gripped Harry's hand and let the insults roll off the Dursleys tongues.
Harry and I were on our stomach's as we laid on the cold floor, drawing a cake into the dust. Dudley's wrist watched beeped and we blew the cake away.
"What did you wish for Charlie?" He asked me.
"A way out." I whispered breathlessly. He nodded and there was a bang, a crack and an apology. Vernon and Petunia walked downstairs and Dudley scurried to them. I stood up and hid Harry behind me as a large man and a man wearing only black stepped in.
"Well! If it isn't Lil' Charlotte and 'Arry." The large man said as he sat down in front of us. "I'm Rubeus Hagrid, Games keeper and Snape 'ere teaches potions at Hogwarts. Surely you know what that is." He said. I shook my head and thats when I sensed Harry about to get grabbed. I quickly pushed him an front of me and whipped around to see the man dressed in black.
"Don't touch my brother." I hissed. He seemed taken back. He smirked.
"Why? You don't even know how to use your magic." He sneered. I raised my fists.
"I don't need any." I snapped. He took out a stick, which I'm guessing is a wand, and I kicked it out of his hand. It flew threw the air until I grabbed it and pointed it at him. He put his hands up and I threw it back to him. He caught it and I turned back to Hagrid. I grabbed Harry's hand.
SORRY, TIME SKIP!
Harry and I slipped back into our sleeping bag and he tossed and turned as I stared up at the ceiling. The Dursleys were upstairs.
"Char, can you sing me a song?" He asked after a while. I nodded and wrapped an arm around him as I began to sing.
(I own nothing, I did not make the lyrics)
She put him out like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette
She broke his heart he spent his whole life tryin' to forget
We watched him drink his pain away a little at a time
But he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind
Until the night
He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said I'll love her till I die
And when we buried him beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby
The rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself
For years and years she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath
She finally drank her pain away a little at a time
But she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind
Until the night
She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away his memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength she had to get up off her knees
We found her with her face down in the pillow
Clinging to his picture for dear life
We laid her next to him beneath the willow
While the angels sang a whiskey lullaby
I felt a tear roll across my scar. I closed my eyes and buried my nose into Harry's hair as I held him close.
"I love you Harry. I will always protect you." I whispered under my breath before I fell asleep.
Sev's Pov
I listened as she sang to Harry, caring for him, holding him close. He seemed like the only thing keeping her from ending it all. I remembered when we got her from the house, the deep slash across her face, the traumatized look in her eyes, the look of pure despair. I remember holding her, how warm she was, how she held the bear close. I watched a tear roll down her cheek before burying her nose in Harry's hair and muttering something I couldn't quite make out. She loves Harry. She was to protect him. And I have a feeling she always has. And she always will.
