Taka, a dark brown, almost brick colored furred adolecent sobbed. It was almost too much pain, he could still feel the sting of his father's claws biting into his soft flesh. The blood flowed freely as the stars began to emerge. A bright star, a king of the past , contrasted against the dark night sky.

"Great Kings of the Past, please hear my pleas!" He yelled. Another wave of pain passed through him. His left eye was closed, a single green pupil, pain and fear shining brightly, was seen inching closer to the sparkling waterhole.

It was obvious there would be a scar there. 'And it's all Muffy and Father's fault' thought the miffed teen.

"You will never be king" an echo of his father's words came back. They drove him to do this, Mufasa's arrogance, and his father's cruel hits and disappointment.

He was scarred, marked, 'Scar' thought Taka. He shook his head, brushing his tuft of black that will grow into a mane. He narrowed his emerald pupils. 'Taka is dead. Scar. I shall rise out of the ashes. I will show Ahadi I'm fit to rule.'

Ahadi paced about the cave. He was furious, tail lashing, an angry growl escaped his throat. "Where is Taka?"

"Hello Father," Scar spat out the word as if it were a curse. He blended with the shadows. Scar prowled around the dark cave to change his position, never giving the second black haired lion a chance to hit him, just in case.

Ahadi turned to his son, something was off. There was a glow in his son's eyes. Something new, this was not the Taka the Great King Ahadi knew. As he stared harder, the look intensified, hatred burned in his son's eyes. Hatred... that was directed towards... him!

"Taka-"King Ahadi began, but was cut off by a vicious growl.

"I'm Prince Taka no more" The young prince roared loudly, tail lashing. "Taka died and you," The young lion stopped, suspense building, he savored the the fear in his King's eyes. "And you," he repeated, "are the murderer." Scar smirked, fangs glinting in the moonlight. As a beam shined down upon Scar, Ahadi saw the extent of the wound. I twas much worse than just a scratch.

"Taka, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you. Honestly." Ahadi apologized. But his apology fell upon deaf ears. As Ahadi lifted his paw to take a step forward Scar hissed and spat and roared. Ahadi was pushing too far.

Scar ran, and he ran back to his hyena friends Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed.

A memory resurfaced, it was a couple of days ago. When he basically killed Taka and born Scar.

He was pacing furiously about the cave. After a while, when Prince Taka hadn't returned and his brother, Prince Mufasa, a large for his age, golden pelted, strong, red maned lion cub had.

After being asked on where his younger brother was, Mufasa told him with a flick of his tail, "He went to the Elephant Graveyard."

Ahadi sprinted to the site. Near the border he saw his reddish-brown son playing with three hyenas. With a furious roar he attacked the hyena pups. After dispatching of the pups, he turned to deal with his problematic child. To get rid of his anger, to vent it, he ferociously swiped, making contact with Taka's muzzle. The King took another swipe, this time connecting with Taka's left eye.

Only after seeing the crimson blood staining his adolescent child's muzzle did he stop and apologize, but it was too late. He had driven his younger son away, he saw the extent of the damage a few seconds later.

When Ahadi's eyes connected with his son's matching eyes, only terror shone through. And when the King raised his paw to take ma step forward, comfort his son, Taka flinched and backed away. A few moments later he was staring at the retreating figure that had once called him 'Father'.

Ahadi shook his head, this lion standing before him was not his son. This animal in front of him was a darkness, and as much as he denied the truth, it couldn't be blocked. He was the reason his young sweet Taka was turned into this darkness called Scar.
