About

It's been about one hundred years sense the last hunger games. What we call the "New Capitol" has been taken over by the "Old Capital" once more. How they did it? I have no Idea, but I do know that we will be back were we where one hundred years ago. Before my great, great grandmother helped take over the capital.

My name is Alistar Primrose Everdeen. I am sixteen years old. I live in District twelve, the same house in the victors village that Katniss and Peta lived in. I have a older brother named Malik, he is twenty one.

Life has been beater sense the times of the Old Capital, our houses have been fixed, new stores have been built...New farms in every district. I'm not saying everything is perfect, because its not. Especially now that New Capital has been over turned.

We found out three days ago, the TV's and radios had been out for two days. We thought it was some sort of electrical problem, but nope. The Old Capital had shut down all broadcasting so they couldn't call in reinforcements.

I was eating breakfast, rabbit stew, when the TV came back on. My mom (Presilla), my dad (Seryn), and my grandmother (Primlee) and my brother where already in the living room. I got up as I heard them gasp. My grandmother cried out in horror.

I went in there to see what was wrong, but once I saw what was on the TV, I needed no explanation.

Bregondy Myer was on screen, covered in blood. I gasped. Bregondy was the great, great grandson of President Snow. He was in prison for trying to kill the current president. I didn't know how he got out, but apparently he did. With the help of descendants of the Old Capitol.

He explained that he, and the descendants, had either killed, or imprisoned every political leader in the capitol. He had showed pictures to prove it.

It was horrible.

My brother asked my grandma what this meant. She looked at me and Malik with grave eyes.

"It means the hunger games have returned."

My parents cried, I didn't. I knew they where bad, so I was upset. But I didn't know what truly went on in the games. In District Twelve, they didn't tell you until you where eighteen. A day after your birthday they would send your parents a packet, with tapes of the old hunger games and let you watch them. I wasn't eighteen yet. So I hadn't seen them. Malik has, I remember after he watched them, he was so angry, so sad, and so...disturbed. He wouldn't talk for a week.

Now it's my turn.
