Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure we all know I don't own Kingdom Keepers. If I did Charlene and Finn would be together instead of Finn and Amanda.
A/N: Okay, so I TRIED to not hate Amanda in this story. So there's only that one line at the end because I couldn't help myself. Again, I know it's short, I wrote it on my iPhone. I hope you like it though! :)
Charlene Turner sat on a bench outside of Space Mountain. On one of the few days she got to go in the parks her stupid date hadn't shown up. Who the hell did he think he was? She thought angrily as she glared at the ground. She should've known better than to go out with anyone than Finn - No NICE BOYS she corrected herself. Finn had nothing to do with it. They were friends, nothing more.
"Hey Charlie!" there was only one person that called her that. The sound of his voice made her heart start beating more than it really should've been.
"Finn?" she called back. She was surprised to see him there. It was almost impossible to get permission, and usually they only let in one DHI at a time. Having Finn and her here together was just asking for a mob. That's what Disney apparently thought anyway.
"Hey I thought you were going out with Todd today," he said. He looked surprised but pleased. In a friendly way she reminded herself. Gosh she needed to work on this.
"He stood me up," she had meant to sound amused, but it came out kind of distorted. She realized she was trying not to cry. This was very unlike her she realized, and she knew Finn would notice. She mentally admonished herself.
"Really?" Finn looked very surprised and when he saw her face, concerned. "I'm sure it's just a mistake." He didn't look very convinced of this though. Todd Martin wasn't exactly gentleman material.
Charlene shook her head. This was Todd Martin they were talking about. She couldn't believe she'd agreed to go out with him in the first place. She was supposed to be smart and guarded, not dumb and blonde. Well, not dumb anyway.
"It's not that bad you know," he said mischievously. He was smiling. If Amanda could only see him now, she thought gleefully. Finn was thinking the same thing.
"Why not?" she was surprised at him for this comment. Usually Finn was quite kind and supportive. Being unsympathetic was very unusual for him. Going against Amanda was unusual for him.
" Because now we can hang out together," and with that he kissed her. Score one for Charlene, she thought to herself as she grinned. Needless to say the day went quite well from then on.
See I really did try to not hate Amanda! Please review! Thanks for reading! :) (That's a lot of exclamation points...)
