Painting Easter Eggs

Vegeta was roused from his sleep by a slight tickling sensation. The sort that would almost certainly be a small insect running around his skin. Without opening his eyes, he reached out to swat at the air. The feeling ceased for a moment. Then it continued. Vegeta reached out again to slap at his thighs, where he was sure the soon-to-be dead insect was.

His hand came down on thick hair.

Opening his eyes and sitting up, Vegeta quickly decided that he must still be dreaming. There was no way that the sight of Kakarott kneeling between his legs with a paintbrush in his hand and a grin on his face was real. That would have been strange enough without him spotting that the tickling sensation had been the other Saiyan painting his balls.

"Kakarott," he spoke slowly. "For the record when I wake up, what do you think you're doing?"

"You're not dreaming," said Goku, confirming what Vegeta had feared. "And I'm just keeping to tradition. Kinda."

"I always thought your Earth customs were strange," said Vegeta. "Like that one where you stick a dead tree in the room for a month and dangle cheap plastic off it."

"You mean Christmas," Goku said, his wide smile not faltering in the slightest.

"Whatever," Vegeta snorted as he flopped back onto the sheets. Within a second of his back making contact with the material, the tickling sensation came again.

"This ones called Easter," Goku said, just as Vegeta opened his mouth to ask him what the hell he thought he was doing. "It's at the start of spring. One thing people do is paint eggs in all sorts of bright colours." At that, he gestured to the very small pots of bright paint, even though he knew that Vegeta probably wasn't looking at them.

"And how exactly do my balls qualify as eggs?"

"No reason," Goku replied with a small laugh. "I just don't know of any birds around who are willing to give up any of theirs that haven't hatched yet."

It was at that point when Vegeta realised he was still just laying there instead of doing something, which he felt he should. With a cry of; "enough!" he was on his feet like a shot, knocking over the paint as he went.

"That stuff is hard to clean up," Goku commented with a small frown as he watched the paint spread and mix over the floor.

"Tough," Vegeta grunted as he strode over to the full-length mirror that was kept in the room to get a good look at what exactly Goku had done. As much as he hated to admit it, it wasn't a bad job. Goku certainly had a steady hand if he had managed to create such patterns without the paint running too much. All the same, it sure as hell wasn't staying. "This better wash off easily."

At that point, Goku's eyes lit up and the smile returned to his face. "Wanna find out?"
