See ya folks,

This morning, Core-Tech had arrived at Follyville city. And, apparently due to Chase's 'charming' personality, a girl had invited them to her pool party. As a result, our favorite team had ended up at a party full of awkward and strange teens.

Chase and Bren were sunbathing with some girls they were flirting with. Well, at least Chase managed to. Dax was standing in the end of a jacuzzi with his feet dipped in the water. He was staring at Jinja and Beyal having a conversation. The monk said something that seemed wise and then Jinja was gazing at him with those fangirl eyes saying how awesome he was. The sight made him sick.

"This party seems pretty lame. Looks like I have to crank up the heat" Chase said and got in the pool.

"Hey everyone, how about we play a game? Sharks and Minnows, Freeze Tag... Hey, I know! Let's play Marco Polo!"

One by one, everyone was starting to get in the pool for the game. Anything possible to get themselves out of this boredom.

"So, who wants to be 'it'?" Chase asked

A death silence fell and Chase looked around to find someone who he could easily convince to do what he wanted.

"How about you, Jin?"

Jinja started walking off, but she knew it was already too late. A blonde girl gave her a colorful scarf, probably a bandana and shut her eyes.

After counting to ten, the redhead began the game. "Marco."

"Polo," came the group response.

She stretched her hand in front of her, and reached nothing. "Lovely" she thought sarcastically

"Marco."

"Polo."

Then she heard it. That angelic voice, sweet and warm as a summer breeze; that could only be Beyal.

Suddenly gaining an interest in the previously boring game, Jinja walked towards the direction she had heard it coming from. "Marco."

The entire group probably said it, but the only one she heard was the one of the monk he loved.

She jumped forward with a new found energy, arms willing to touch him, but she came up only with what she started. Nothing.

Challenge Accepted.

She began shouting the 5 letter word desperately, and after she would hear the reply she would run past all others to chase down Beyal. But each time she thought she was getting close; the next time he spoke she would discover that he had managed to slip even farther away.

Though her eyes were shut, she could just feel the mocking looks of those around her, daring her to keep on chasing after her crush. They were so confident that she would never succeed, and whenever she heard that beautiful, taunting laugh just barely out of reach, she began to believe in them a little bit more.

However Jinja had made up her stubborn mind that she would catch him, she was determined.

"Marco!"

"Polo!"

She heard it again, and she knew that he couldn't be more than three feet away.

"Marco!"

"Polo!"

It was closer now. This was it. She got him.

"Marc- OW!"

Pinches of pain rushed her foot and made her stop. She took the scarf off her eyes and took a look at it. Chase helped her swim "Jin, are you okay?"

She sat herself on the steps and rubbed her injured foot. She probably tripped on them. "I'm alright. Just stubbed my toe"

"Jinja, I'm so sorry."

Her heart couldn't help but beat a little faster as she found the source of the voice. Beyal was perched on the edge of the pool, once again unattainable.

"Don't be, it wasn't your fault," she answered as she tried flexing her toes. "But do you mind if someone else takes over? I'm done with this game."

It was such a shame, though. Because if she had continued, she would have caught one particular boy. The Lowlander that was waiting for her all time along.
