It was Valentines day. When Lucius and Narcissa were dating, he had never thought to get her anything. But they were married now. He had to do something. Something to show her that he appreciated her. For giving him a son, for staying with him, even in the worst matters. He knew she loved him, but he didn't understand why. That's not how pure-blood relationships were supposed to work out.
They were supposed to get married, family arranged of course. Then the wife shall give the husband a heir, or a daughter. No love was supposed to be involved. Yet he had to do something.
"It's Valentines day." Narcissa pointed out. Lucius nodded his head.
"I'll be back." He told her, and before she could ask why, he apparated.
He walked through the weeds and dirt, looking for any signs of people.
"Mister?" Someone called out. Lucius turned around quickly to find a teenage boy standing behind him. The boy was tall, black hair shot out at all angles. Lucius was in a muggle garden. Though such a place disgusted him, Narcissa had said that they have gorgoeus flowers. And he was determind to give her one.
"Mister?" the boy asked again.
"Could you help me?" Lucuis asked him.
"What do you need?" the boy looked confused. Idiot boy.
"May i take a rose?"
"Why?" he continued. Because it's valentines day, and i need one.
Lucuis told the boy the story of how he never gave Narcissa anything. The boy looked sad.
"Thats quite a story. What color?" The pointed to the section of roses beside them. Lucius picked off a white rose, and once the boy was gone, he apparated.
When he returned home, Narcissa was asleep. Giving a smile smile to himself, he placed a getntly kiss to her lips, then left the rose in her open hand.
Back at the garden, the boy stood in his home. Well, boy no more. The pollyjuice potion wore off the second she stepped foot in her home. Andromeda smiled to herself, knowing her sister would be happy.
