Warning: MAJOR DN spoilers. If you haven't finished the series, turn around.

AN: Don't really know what inspired this. Enjoy.

Nobody knew what to do that day. The day after… After the Yellow Box. Oh, sure, after a while, they adjusted (to an extent), but the first day…

What will we tell Misa? They thought, that Kira killed him? No…

So they didn't tell her anything.

What will we tell his family? They thought, that Kira killed him? Perhaps.

They said it was an accident.

Who will be L now? They thought, Near?

And he did. After all, the SPK had dissolved almost immediately; after all, there was no more Kira to catch.

But if L was right about that, they thought, was he right about Misa?

After all, if you looked at the evidence…

But they didn't do anything to her. In fact, they lost almost all contact with her. In fact, they didn't hear about her until the suicide case came up. (Who told her? Matsuda… )

The first day, the Kira worshippers didn't even notice. They were still mourning Takada. But after a week… a month… Some must have realized.

Of the NPA, Matsuda took it the hardest. He was the fondest of Light (they thought), and the most accepting of Kira's ideals (they thought). He was the most naïve, too.

But that whole time, the question remained:

Was he right?

That was one of the few things that didn't change after the first day.
