It was a dark and stormy night...

Actually it was early early early morning.

The birds outside were annoying, the sun wasn't even up, damnit.

And really, it was pleasant out. When she stared out the window and squinted, she could see the black tree outside with an outline of a deep blue sky. The window was open and there was a cool breeze, but she didn't bother pulling the blankets over herself. It wasn't too cold... also... she didn't want to disturb the person sharing the bed with her.

The "dark and stormy" part was the blonde woman next to her, back to Anko. Smooth skin of her neck and shoulders exposed, but not inviting in the least at the moment.

She couldn't remember what started the fight, because it wasn't important. It wasn't important because she didn't start it. All she did was sit there, take it, and go to bed.

A sigh, and she turned for the one hundred and twenty second time that night. It may not have been her fault that the night ended up like this, but that didn't change the fact that trying not to touch the other woman while in the small bed was uncomfortable.

The blonde wasn't asleep. But she wasn't going to be obvious about not sleeping because that would show her possibly wavering pride. She wasn't going to do that after a petty fight that she had started.

Another turn and a huff from the other body. The trees outline was a little lighter and one bird in particular was making a noise that sounded like a mix between an alarm clock and a drug induced chickadee. She contemplated grabbing the kunai from under her pillow and having a nice game of target practice, but decided sudden movement wasn't the best plan.

Her dark hair was messy in her face, she blew her bangs out of her eyes irritably, suddenly there was movement from the blonde. She couldn't open her eyes before a lingering kiss was placed on her slightly parted lips.

"I'm sorry."

It took a moment to register into her mind.

"What for?"

"For coming here in the mood I was in and wasting a night thinking about things that are unimportant when you're laying here next to me."

Anko smirked and opened her eyes to look back out the window; she liked this shade of blue more than the shades before.

"No problem, we still have half a day before briefing. Plenty of time."

Temari smiled down and lightly brushed wild strands of hair from the other woman's face.

"Let's go!"

Anko abruptly got up and threw on a robe, tossing another to a puzzled Temari.

"... what?" She looked down and noticed that it would barely cover her to her mid-thigh or conceal her breasts in a way that would be considered half-way decent.

Anko grinned and brushed a thumb against her nose before turning, a very light blush was visible in the graying room.

"To watch the sunrise from the roof, we should hurry or the good part will be over soon."

She pulled some blankets from a closet and without turning to Temari, "You should bring some blankets with you too." Then she was out the door.

The blonde stayed in the bed sitting up and staring blankly at the door before smiling broadly when she heard footsteps from the ceiling. She threw the robe on in no hurry as she stepped out the door.

"I just don't get her sometimes..."
