In the absolute silence of nighttime, gentle raindrops fall over Amefurashi Village. All the inhabitants of the village have gone back into their homes and turned in for the night. However, in one of the houses the lights still remain on and the individuals living in that house are still active in their activities. According to the villagers' knowledge the two people that inhabit the house are not ordinary townsfolk, rather they are two former mages of the infamous Fairy Tail Guild that had unfortunately disbanded a while back.

The two mages, Gray Fullbuster and Juvia Lockser, have completed another productive day of training and had just finished their dinner. Usually after this time, the pair would chit chat either sharing training advice and strategies or talking casually reliving memories from their time in the Fairy Tail Guild. However, this night would be more than just the normal topics of conversation. Juvia suddenly approached Gray with a rather sensitive question.

"Gray-sama, Juvia was wondering what was life like for you growing up?"

The question surprised Gray and reliving those memories of his childhood bothered him. He thought Juvia already knew about the pain he faced when he lost his parents to Deliora, and how Ur sacrificed herself using Iced Shell.

"What do you mean, what part of my childhood do you want to know about?" Gray responded while trying to hide his annoyance.

"Well, Juvia wants to know what it was like for Gray-sama having parents that loved and cared for him. Juvia grew up in an orphanage, so she was unfortunately unable to have such treatment." Juvia answered with a sad tone.

Gray suddenly remembered that Juvia grew up alone and without anyone to guide her through life. He then felt a pang of sympathy for his nakama and then decided to tell her about his parents and his life with them before that tragic day when his village was destroyed by Deliora.

Gray told Juvia all about his childhood home and his life with his parents, Mika and Silver. The tales ranged from talking about how his mother would always spoil him with her delightful homemade cooking to his father giving him advice whenever the village kids picked a fight with him.

Hearing all of Gray's happy childhood moments, made Juvia realize what she missed out in her life. Memories of the orphanage started coming back to her and the voices of the kids who made fun of her rang loudly in her head.

Gray, who was oblivious to Juvia's inner struggles, saw tears starting to roll down her face and the rain that had been falling gently suddenly started to get heavier and louder.

"Juvia, what's wrong!" Gray asked with worry knowing that sudden heavy rain was a sign of Juvia's negative emotions.

"All of Juvia's childhood revolved around being alone and rejected, Juvia never had anyone who was kind and caring towards her. The orphanage staff and children thought Juvia was some kind of witch who only brought rain upon them." Juvia answered while sobbing.

"You know all of those memories are of the past right?" Gray asked trying to reassure her.

"Juvia knows, but the memories sometimes come back and cause Juvia to think about the times when she was the Rain Woman."

Gray then wrapped his arms around Juvia and allowed her to get all of her feelings out.

Just like the time, Gray comforted Juvia whilst riding on the leopard creature back to Fairy Tail he said those reassuring words, "I'm here with you."

Throughout the rest of the night, Gray and Juvia held on to each other knowing that they both could count on each other for support.
