This Date With You
"Hey Lucy, I'm hungry!" Natsu walked up to the bar in Fairy Tail and complained to his favorite pretty female guild mate.
"Then get some food and eat it." She turned and looked at him indifferently, still lost in her own thoughts. She saw many happy couples walking around town, but she didn't mind being alone.
"I don't want to eat here today."
"Then don't eat here, Natsu. Go out and get some thing."
"I don't want to go by myself, come with me."
"No." She just didn't feel like going out with the only nakama she adored so much, not today.
"Come on it'll be fun." He grinned, yanking Luce out of her seat and throwing her over his shoulder. He walked out of the guild with her kicking and screaming.
"Natsu?!"
~X~
Everyone on the street ignored Lucy's angry protests as Natsu walked by carrying her. "Hey! Put me down!"
"Just hang out with me for a while, Luce. Please?" He looked over his shoulder and smiled boyishly at her, making her blush.
An old couple smiled their way and said, "Ah, to be young and in love. Remember when we were like that?"
"Why would you want to be like this?! And how could this look like love to you?!"
~X~
"Thanks for coming with me Lucy!" Natsu smiled, sitting down at the outdoor table and finishing his fourth flaming hotdog. "You sure you don't want any actual food?"
"No thanks. And I didn't come with you, you kidnapped me, remember?" She said indifferently, sipping the lemonade he bought her glaring at him.
"Can't I take one of my most favorite people out to eat with me?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Why didn't you take Happy instead of me? He's considered one of your favorite people too, you know."
"Don't be silly Lucy, why would I take Happy on a date? He's a cat."
Lucy's eyes widened and her mouth dropped. "A-a date?"
"Yeah, a date," he said with his mouth full of food. "You know more stuff about it than I do, though."
"Oh…a date, huh." She looked down at the drink in her hand.
"Would you rather be on a date with someone else?" He said, looking slightly hurt by the thought.
"No, I just wish that I had of known this was supposed to be a date." She furrowed her eyebrows.
"Sorry about that," he scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.
"Nah, its ok. I just wish I would have dressed better." She smiled and looked down at the tight jeans and plain fitted t-shirt she wore that day.
"Don't worry, you look pretty no matter what you're wearing." He grinned sincerely.
"Thanks Natsu." She felt her face grow warm and looked back down to hide it, fidgeting with the bottom of her shirt.
"Well, I'm glad I came with you then, Natsu. It wasn't so bad. Except for when you sneezed and nearly set the hotdog stand on fire…"
"Yeah that was great…" He smiled goofily, going off into his own world.
"Anyway…thanks for taking me out, Natsu." A pretty smile graced her lips.
"You're welcome." He quickly leaned forward and brushed his lips against hers, catching her by surprise, then he pulled back with a dark blush on his face.
Lucy quickly recovered from her shock of the sudden kiss and reached across the table, taking hold of Natsu's scarf. She pulled him in and gave him the best kiss of his life. When she pulled away for air, he just sat there in a daze with a stupid grin on his face.
Lucy tried not to laugh, "Sorry was that too much for you?"
"No, that…was awesome."
"Happy Valentines Day, Natsu." She giggled, walking around the table to sit next to him and pull him into a warm embrace, which he gladly returned.
"Definitely the best Valentines Day I've ever had."
