Disclaimer: I own none of the characters used in this piece of fiction as they belong to Stephenie Meyer.
Notes: This is my first attempt to Twilight fanfiction. I know it's an usual pairing and you don't have to read if you don't want to. You've been told the pairing so please don't review and tell me how wrong it is. I happen to multi-ship. I like and will read a lot of different pairings. I'm a firm lover of Emmett and Rosalie but Jacob and Rosalie are my favorite non-canon pairing! So please give it a try and maybe write a short review.
Eerie Comfort
They stood a short distance from each other, waiting for the other to make the first move. However, the invisible barrier remained between the two lands prevented any further action. She stood regally within the shadows of the forest, his keen eyes catching sight of her flawless blonde hair as a cool breeze swept through. Her golden eyes peered through the darkness, a predator watching its' prey.
Though the young man barely resisted the urge to chuckle at the thought. Him the prey? If it weren't for the eerie silence that lingered between the two, he might have laughed aloud. It wasn't the first time the two sat in this uncomfortable distance from one another. Both took the precaution of acting as a predator ever watchful of its' prey. A part of him wondered if it was all a ruse for if and when they'd get caught, a sense of fake hostility for those who'd come across them. Jacob occasionally questioned these meetings yet never earning an answer from the beautiful Rosalie. Aside from his rare questions they rarely spoke a word to one another, simply taking an odd sense of comfort of meeting the other's cold eyes through the thick blanket of darkness.
A werewolf and a she-devil--enemies by day, companions by night.
