Kakashi laid in his bed thinking about everything. He looked at the old photograph of the team he was on as a child. He was so overconfident in his abilities and knowledge that he took the time he had with them for granted. The dark-haired boy had become his best friend. Kakashi regretted not trying to make friends with them sooner. Obito's antics that always annoyed Kakashi, are now used by Kakashi and annoy his students. They would understand if he told them what it meant to him, but their reactions remind of the past it makes the pain keep appearing. The day he meant his new genin team, he spent the rest of the day in bed looking at the old photo. But, his team was different and he was wondering how he was supposed to handle them. His Sensei's ways don't work on them. The brunette girl was easy to miss. Kakashi sighed he was supposed to protect her, but he had failed. Her goal was to have Tsunade acknowledge her medical skills and maybe get taken as an apprentice. She was the one who transplanted Obito's Sharingan into Kakashi. Tsunade once said who ever did the transplant did an excellent job; they made no mistakes. She said if they would've made a mistake he would've become completely blind. The blond teacher was always remembered. He was the fourth on the stone faces. When Minato got offered the spot of Fourth Hokage, we were so happy for him. The party Rin threw was amazing. It was one of the last times I really saw either of them. Then the Nine-Tails attack occurred. Sensei sealed it in his son. The son he never got to meet. The son that he always wanted. The son that Rin and I had been looking forward to being "siblings" with. Now I'm the kid's Sensei.

Then Kakashi looked at a photo of a man almost completely identical to himself. My first major loss, the White Fang, my father, another death I might've been able to prevent. The man I shunned and denied knowing just because he chose his friends' lives over the mission.

Then he looked at the newest photo, Team 7, his team of Genin. He smiled. His students were older than his team had been when they started. The black-haired boy reminded him of himself. Except Sasuke was already starting to make friends. His main friend was Naruto. The blonde boy was a splitting image of his father and acted like Kushina and Obito. Too bad Naruto can't be told who his father is. Minato would want him to know. Of course only the people that were associated with Minato or Kushina know. The pink-haired girl had the potential to be a medical-nin. Sakura was the one that could keep Naruto and Sasuke from fighting. In those ways, she was like Rin. But Rin was quieter than Sakura. And a lot less violent.

Kakashi finally fell asleep, content knowing he wasn't completely alone
