Letters are bumps;
A system for the blind
Made by machines,
Made for no eyes.
Made to feel;
These blueprints of books.
A new form of reading
To which my hands took.
--
Computers are voices
Invading my mind
Monotonous robots
Spilling out rhymes;
Line after line
Of gobbledygook.
The data's before me,
But I can't take a look.
--
Chilling to the bone
It's a hot blade
And it comes down on skin.
My masquererde as a warrior
Has to come off.
My path as a Jedi
Is on a different walk.
--
Teaching a child the ways of the Code
Makes me feel weary
Makes me feel old.
I'm holding her back.
The last thing I should have done
Was employ my meager skills
To teach someone.
--
I feel love
As I feel his face
It's just a touch;
Words would take up space
My biggest regret
About being blind
Wasn't being disadvantaged-
But the lovely faces left behind.
It really wasn't my best poem; I think. But I pride myself in the fact that I could actually write it… well, reviews are always appreciated.
