"You need to hit something." Sam stated.

"Hit what?" Asked Andy, a tad confused.

"Me." Sam grinned.

Sam lightly, jokingly, punched her.

"Don't." She warned. Sam, like usual, paid no mind to what she had just said. He hit her again. This time she retaliated, sending him a sucker punch straight in the gut. They boxed for quite a while, laughing the whole time, neither of them really caring how well they did, while still maintaining friendly competition. Sam sent a blow to Andy's shoulder, and she tripped over her feet and fell. Sam was beside her in a flash. She had fallen lightly, without much pain, but Sam didn't know that.

"Andy? Andy! Are you ok?" Sam sounded concerned, guilty even. He leaned over her, and propped himself up with one hand, the other one pulling her face up to rest on his chest.

"Sam, I'm ok. Thank you." She started smiling, a warm look glowed in her eyes.

"What is it, McNally?" Sam asked, afraid she had gone nutty, as if the punch he shot her way was to the head, instead. Andy sighed.

"For a second there, I almost had you calling me 'Andy' instead of 'McNally'. I…I liked it." Andy said in a small voice, looking up, her breath washing over his face.

"Yeah. I liked it too." He said, also quietly, his voice somehow soft and gravelly at the same time. He sat back, and used the hand he was leaning on to grab Andy's.

"So, um, what stage are you at now?" Sam asked.

"The one that's passed all the stages, this rare one called love or something like that.

"So, I have a proposition to make. Before you're certain about this 'love' stage thing, is breakfast over yet? I have a Skype date with Sarah at 9am, but right now it's only 7:30, so I was thinking if you were still interesting in eating…." Sam trailed off, looking questioningly at her.

"I am always interested in eating." She said, giggling.

"My kind of woman!" Sam said loudly, and started chuckling. Andy felt the vibrations as she was still pressed up against his chest. She smiled.

"Am I really?" Andy said in a faux-lovey-dovey voice.

"Oh McNally, most definitely." Sam said, grinning.

"I thought we agreed on Andy you nutball!" Andy said, annoyed.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you I have short term memory?" Sam asked.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you as a cop you should have a great memory?" Andy shot back.

"Didn't anyone tell you I'm not the traditional cop?"

"No one had to tell me that." She said, and looked up at him. She shifted her body so that she was eye-to-eye with him. He pulled her in slowly, letting his eyes see into the depths of hers before their lips met once for a kiss packing a lot of heat mixed with an equal amount of urgency. Both had been waiting for this for so long….it was perfect.
