Amir looked out over the cliff down at the café. A frown appeared on his face. He could see Kisaki. But what made the frown appear was the fact that she was walking up to Ivan. She tapped his shoulder and he turned around. Even from where Amir stood, next to the mayor's house, he could still see the smile that appeared on Ivan's face when he saw Kisaki. Ivan then started to speak to Kisaki. Amir knew he would speak to her in a soft gentle voice like he always did.

Amir had to force himself to turn around and not look at the two. He could feel a little tear form in his eye. He quickly wiped it away, but he knew he couldn't help it. He was in love with Kisaki. He also knew that Kisaki was in love with Ivan and he was in love with her. There were even rumors going round about how Ivan was going to give her the blue feather soon. With all this, Amir knew he wouldn't ever get to hold her while she slept. He couldn't kiss her softly on the lips, and hopefully see a ripple of pleasure rip through her. No, none of this would happen because of Ivan.

Amir sighed. He shouldn't be thinking things like this. He should just be happy that Kisaki was happy, right? Amir sighed again. Even if he wanted to be happy for them he couldn't. He wanted Kisaki so badly. At that moment the mayor came out of his house.

"Ah, Amir! You wanted to see me." Amir nodded his head.

"Yes sir. I wanted to ask you about the windmills you used here. I wanted to see if I could use something like them in my country." A huge smile appeared on the mayor's face. He patted Amir on the back.

"Sure Amir!" He started to drag Amir into his house. Just before Amir entered he looked over at Kisaki and Ivan. Ivan was now holding Kisaki's hand. Amir could see the soft smile Ivan had on his face as he spoke to Kisaki. Amir sighed. He knew he had lost the girl he loved. A small smile found its way to Amir's face. If he couldn't have Kisaki he was happy that Ivan would have her. Amir Knew he would treat Kisaki like a princess like she needed to be treated.

I wanted to write this (or should I say type) becuase I was stuck inbetween Amir and Ivan. In the end I chose Ivan becuase...I don't really know why. Anyways sorry is this story doesn't make a lick of sense; I wrote/typed this without really planning it out. Oh and Kisaki is the name I named the female character, Gretel.
