PROLOGUE

Disclaimer: I don't own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

My family.

Splinter, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.

Sensei, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey.

There was nothing more important to me than them.

Splinter. Sensei was our father and our master. He was the wisest one in this family. He was our guide. The one who raised and taught us. I would always owe him for everything he had sacrificed to raise us.

Raphael. Raph. My hot-headed younger brother. He was the strongest of us four. Also, the most stubborn. As I was stubborn in my own way, we often got into arguments. Yet, I felt that he was the only one who knew me the most, besides Sensei of course.

Donatello. Donnie. He was my middle younger brother. He was so smart and knew a lot of things. Technology was his specialty. Despite that, he tended to forget about simple things. I didn't know how many times I had to tell him that living on caffeine was not really healthy.

Michelangelo. Mikey was the baby of the family. He was the youngest and a really hyper turtle. The one who always smiling and ready to cheer us up. Sometimes, he could be really annoying though. But, that's who he was. And I was going to do everything to keep him that way.

I was the last member of our family. My name was Leonardo. My family called me Leo. I was not as strong as Raph. I was not as smart as Donnie. And I was definitely not as hyper as Mikey. But, as the eldest of us four, it was my duty to protect my brothers, by extension my father. It was my job and my obligation to keep them safe. At any cost necessary.

A/N: I give you the Prologue of To Keep Them Safe. I assure you that the next chapter would be longer.
