This is a stupid one-shot I'd decided to write.

It had begun as a normal day, the white ninja called Zane would reflect much later. He'd woken up early at the chirping of an alarm clock, donned clothes, and prepared breakfast for the other staff members -namely Kai, Cole, Jay, Sensei, and Nya. He discussed transportation methods with the elderly headmaster over the meal, successfully ended a food fight, and got everyone to the waiting bus on time with all their things.

After driving for a considerable amount of miles- and putting up with whines and complaints from children that seemed to make the journey last longer- they'd arrived at Borg Industries. The structure itself was an immense skyscraper in the heart of New Ninjago City. He entered the building.

The ninja of fire had been the last to come in, and thus he was caught in the automatic door. He had helped his spiky-haired brother out, before turning to take in the luxurious lobby.

The slight clinking of metal on metal was the first thing that alerted him of her presence. She'd come down the stairs, and in the beginning he hadn't payed her much attention. She talked about news and technology, before turning to face him.

"You are Zane," she had said. "A droid like me."

The android continued speaking, but her words were drowned out by someone else.

"What do you mean, droid?" the earth ninja had asked. "I think you got your facts mixed, lady. This is Zane, the ninja of ice. Not some robot!"

She had cocked her head slightly, her glowing green eyes locked with his own.

"No, he is a droid," she insisted.

"A droid?" he'd asked. "I am not a droid. I'm an organic human being, a ninja."

"Permission to scan?"

He'd glanced over at the others before nodding slowly. "Permission granted."

The android's eyes had changed from the vibrant green to a glowing blue. Two rays of light shone out from them, moving up and down across his body.

She'd blinked, the color fading back to green. Behind her, a screen changed from a display of technology to a blueprint of a humanoid robot.

The blue ninja walked over to examine the board. He had gasped. "Um, Zane?" he'd asked. "I think she's right."

He had stared at the diagram on the wall. It showed a android -an android that looked exactly like himself. Wires criss-crossed as they twisted through different parts of the body, and a pulsing blue light was right over the place a heart would be.

He had found himself pulling off his sweater, then fumbling with his chest. He could feel part of himself shifting underneath his fingertips, and a panel swung outward. He stood, frozen, staring at the cavity in his torso.

"Wh-what?" His mind had been in a muddled state. He couldn't do anything except gaze upon the multiple switches and the wires which wound their way around the switches. Zane's weird... He's different... The guy's inhuman... That boy has something off about him... All the passing comments, all the casual remarks, all the snide insults which he'd pushed to the corners of his mind came rushing back.

He'd buried his face in his hands. "No, it can't be, it's just a dream," he whispered into his gloved fingers. He tried to hide the tears threatening to fall as he groped for something -anything- to explain his situation. "You are human!" he whimpered. But deep down, the white ninja of ice knew that he wasn't.

What do you think? It was originally planned to be more humorous, but this darker side showed and I thought, "Why not?" To be honest, this idea was my sister's. We were clearing the table one night and she said "What is Zane never knew he was a droid until episode 27?" Please review!
